guess this was copied from RedHat''s documentation. Can someone please
direct me or my comments to the right person?

R console freezes after several runs of compiled C code
Hi All,
I tried my best to figure out how to deal with the freezing R console but
with no luck. I followed the instructions of calling R_ProcessEvents()
regularly but still couldn't work it out (the callings were removed from the
below C code).
I am using R-2.8.1 on Windows XP service pack 3. The Rtools is version 2.9.
I have the following C code:
void rx(int *n, int *m, int *rxmax,int

[PATCH 7/8] netback: split event channels support
Netback and netfront only use one event channel to do tx / rx notification.
This may cause unnecessary wake-up of process routines. This patch adds a new
feature called feautre-split-event-channel to netback, enabling it to handle
Tx and Rx event separately.
Netback will use tx_irq to notify guest for tx completion, rx_irq for rx
notification.
If frontend doesn''t support this feature,

Extended Mantel-Haenszel Tests
Has anyone written R code for extended Mantel-Haenszel Tests- as
described in Section 8.4.5 (eq. 8.18) of Agresti's book "Categorical
Data Analysis"?
In other words, I would like to use column scores to test for a
location shift for different groups as defined by the row variable in
a
set of rxs tables. In addition, I would like to use row and column
scores to test for a linear

Permission denied after successful mount of Windows share
I'm wanting to mount a Windows share from a Windows 2003 Server to a
Fedora Core 2 using Samba.
I run the following mount command (as root), which terminates with a 0
return code, but when I attempt to look at the mounted filesystem with
df or ls, I get a "Permission denied" error.
Here is the mount command (with user/pwd/machine altered) and debug

[PATCH net-next V2 2/2] xen-netfront: split event channels support for Xen frontend driver
This patch adds a new feature called feature-split-event-channels for
netfront, enabling it to handle TX and RX events separately.
If netback does not support this feature, it falls back to use single event
channel.

About ping latency in SR-IOV
Hi, Greg, Eddie,
I found that in SR-IOV + HVM environment, ping latency depends on ping interval.
The NIC is Intel 82576 (1000Mbps), server uses xen-4.0.1, domain-0 is
kernel-2.6.32
and HVM is kernel-2.6.31. The server and client are connected through
a 1000Mbps switch.
The data is as following:
# ping -i 1 192.168.0.21
PING 192.168.0.21 (192.168.0.21) 56(84) bytes of data.

pausing scrub crashed scrub daemon on nodes
Hi,
I am using glusterfs 3.10.1 with 30 nodes each with 36 bricks and 10 nodes
each with 16 bricks in a single cluster.
By default I have paused scrub process to have it run manually. for the
first time, i was trying to run scrub-on-demand and it was running fine,
but after some time, i decided to pause scrub process due to high CPU usage
and user reporting folder listing taking time.
But scrub
