Some basic questions about accessing DFS/DCE shares with SAMBA 3.0
Hi Guys- We are a group involved in a project to move an application from Windows to AIX, and part of the application involves reading OSF DFS shares, and making the filesystem available to Windows machines through SAMBA. The conversion of the application has gone well, but it is our first time using SAMBA and I have some questions that hopefully are not too dumb, and if they are, we would gladly

SPA-941 auto-answer capability
Hi. I am thinking about building an asterisk system for a small business and want to be able to page through the phones. It seems like to do this asterisk needs auto-answer support in the phone. I know the SPA-841's support this, as do Cisco phones, but I have been unable to determine if the new Cisco/Linksys SPA-941's do. Does anyone here have experience with trying to use auto-answer

weighted likelihood for lme
Dear R users, I'm trying to fit a simple random intercept model with a fixed intercept. Suppose I want to assign a weight w_i to the i-th contribute to the log-likelihood, i.e. w_i * logLik_i where logLik_i is the log-likelihood for the i-th subject. I want to maximize the likelihood for N subjects Sum_i {w_i * logLik_i} Here is a simple example to reproduce

Clearing script cache?
Yesterday I experienced a very weird problem and couldn''t make sense of it. I was working on script/myscript when I started a different shell and noticed that the changes I was making weren''t taking effect? I verified the paths (so I am not editing wrong files) I cleared the /tmp/ruby.* session files I restarted the Apache server ( even though I was working via

Problems with Sanitarium
Well, I found this *old* game in my closet the other night, and wondered if Wine could play it.The APPDB entry (http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=4089) has it on Gold status, and I was quite happy. Install worked fine, but, once I started the game, I found some problems. One problem, not just found in Sanitarium, but also in other games, is that when a Video Scene is playing, the

Freedos mount/boot Linux ISO's
Hello: I read the archive posting for September 2005, http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2005-September/005809.html, where you stated that you have a freedos diskette that allows you to download and run an iso like it was a cd in a drive. I am in need of the ability to have a freedos bootable cd that contains other Linux ISO's that I could mount and boot to. In your experience with

dfs/dce and openssh
I searched google and did not find any hits on this being solved. I want to get ssh so I can the dsa/rsa style password it in an environment that uses dfs/dce authentication if that is possible (and it has not already been solved). In other words, I want to be able to log into a host as a dfs/dce user without typing my password. Before I dig into the code and trying to do this, I wanted

DCE Patch
Hi all. I am submitting a patch that adds DCE authentication and credential attaching. Fully legit, no ugly hacks ;) I looked (some) at Paul Henson's <henson at acm.org> patch for ssh-1.2.20 while coding. The patch [attached] is against pre14, but DCE and AIX patches for pre15 will follow shortly. I threw in this patch just to prove i'm working on it. :) Happy Hacking, //T-?

[PATCH] DCE for pre15
As promised, here's the DCE patch for pre15. (and this time i didn't forget the attachment ;) It enables ssh to authenticate, set groups and attach network credentials. It's a clean implementation (i left out the credential-move-hack). This one adds the --with-dce option to configure Some notes have rised: The for loop 3->64 closing fd's... is it really needed? Is it
