Multi ADS Auth servers in 1 smb.conf
Hello All:
I would love to RTFM on multiple ADS servers being configured for ADS
sercurity, but I can't find anything.
Specifically: I have 2 ADS servers at 1 site.
I have 4 SAMBA file servers at said site.
If ADS server 1 goes down -- It will not cascade to ADS Server 2. How
can I set that up?
I have seen when using "security = server" multiple server names listed,
but have

Samba 2.2.4 SWAT Says Broken Link
Howdy!
Just downloaded the Binary RPM for Red Hat 7.2. Seemed to install fine (after I
removed 2.2.3a) but when I try to use SWAT in Konquerer, it comes back and says
that the link is broken to the machine name. I've tried: http://localhost:901,
http://[ip]:901 and http://[machine name]:901. I do have SWAT checked in the
Service configuration.
Any particular reason it would do that?

Problems with unregister draggable
hi!
i am working on a tree which allows moving nodes/subtrees via drag&drop.
since i am not a javascript expert i try to stick to the script.aculo.us
library without modifying anything. the nodes are loaded dynamically
from my rails-app and have a unique ID.
when a node gets moved to another folder, it disappears at its original
destination (via Element.remove()) and gets drawn as soon

BUG: sieve does not set seen-Flag
Moving a message from one folder to another with thunderbird, gmail-app
on android and horde webmail has always the same behaviour.
The \Recent flag ist set and the \Seen-Flag is removed in the new
folder. So it is not a problem of thunderbird.

Problems with drag&drop + scrollbar
Hello, I''m using RoR 2.0.2. In a page my app has a droppable DIV, and
several draggable items in another DIV. Item''s DIV is declared
overflow => auto, so when there are too many items in the list a
scrollbar appears. Then, if user peeks an item and try to drag it to
the droppable DIV, the item beings hidden below that DIV.
Drag&drop still works fine in this situation, but

CUPS via SMB with per-user credentials?
I have a multi-user Linux box in a mostly Windows NT/2000 shop. The office
printer is available only via SMB (hosted by a Win2000 box) and access is
restricted to valid users in the local NT domain. There is no "global" or
"print" user/password.
Everything mostly works. I have a 'DeviceURI
smb://MYUSERNAME:MYPASSWORD@domain/printer' in /etc/cups/printers.conf.

convert non-standard mbox to maildir
Hi,
Let me start with wishing you all the best for this new year, and I hope
we'll see a lot of new features and not so much new bugs ;-)
I'm trying to convert a number of PSTs to maildir. Just plain drag&drop in
Outlook doesn't work (gives a very cryptic error message in a certain
folder, but that folder is perfectly all right), and using the import
option also barfs when

this site:

But, really, I couldn''t get the idea well yet. Can you just explain what
"session" means mire further?
Thanks.

Winamp vorbis crash
Hi!
( I am sending this also to vorbis@xiph.org, because Peters
homepage at http://www.blorp.com/~peter/ is ... dead, and I
am not sure what his email address is )
I have a ( more than probably corrupt ) ogg/vorbis file that makes
winamp lock up. If I drag&drop the file on winamp, the position
slider will start flashing at the leftmost position and winamp
does not respond to any user input

SWAT drops quoted text in options
Having a little trouble with SWAT in Samba 3.0.3.
When an option in smb.conf contains quotes, for example:
add group script = /path/to/addgroupscript "%g"
SWAT will, upon parsing smb.conf, display
add group script = /path/to/addgroupscript
and committing it causes the quoted portion to be dropped in smb.conf.
Note that anything in double quotes (or, rather, after the first double

No RTFM?
What do you think about adding a "No RTFM" policy to the R mailing
lists? Per, "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RTFM":
The Ubuntu Forums and LinuxQuestions.org, for instance, have instituted
"no RTFM" policies to promote a welcoming atmosphere.[8][9].
RTFM [and] "Go look on google" are two inappropriate responses to a
question. If you don't know the
