Hi all, Thank you for your help, and sorry for my late answer. Everything works fine by now ! Yes, you have to become a BDC to vampire the accounts ! This is why I was getting an "Access denied" error : I thought my Samba was a BDC, but I forgot to add "domain logon = Yes" in my smb.conf, so Samba was a simple share server. Samba as domain controller
hi@all! i set up a system where samba is a primary and a secondary domain controller; the authentication is over ldap and everything works fine but.... i would like to test what happen when the pdc is down and so i shutdown the smb service on the pdc. the logins from all clients worked well on the bdc but when i try to join a new machine to the domain, it can't contact the domain

Net RPC Vampire not sucking all groups
I've tried numerous times but cannot get Vampire to bring across all groups or add users to all groups that they belong to. Sometimes I get everygroup except 1, other times not so lucky.
