need help using read.fortran
Hello kind and R-knowledgeable souls! I am trying to use read.fortran to read in old datasets in 80-column-card format with no separators between variables (just 80 columns of solid digits). I comprehend the instructions for specifying the columns for each variable, but I can't understand how to assign the variable names after reading the help pages for read.fortran, read.fwf and

Warnings with and without r2q
Hi everyone, My HTB script is showing me those "r2q change" warnings. I read that I should test with r2q values to gain accuracy and stop the warnings but I made some tests with r2q and with burst and I still get the warnings. Any ideas on this issue will be very helpful. The script seems to be working as the bandwidth for the IPs is being shaped. The NIC works at 100mbit and the

Please help with samba 3.0.21a on AIX 5.3
I've tried building samba 3.0.20 and 21a without luck. I've tried binaries and they all give this error. I know I am missing something but nothing points to a solution. ../bin/smbstatus exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program ../bin/smbstatus because of the following errors: 0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for /usr/lib/libc.a(posix_aio.o) because: 0509-136 Symbol

Problem after upgrade from 3.0.14a to 3.0.21a
We have 2 Samba Domain Controllers and 1 Samba Domain Member Server, running on Solaris 9. The Solaris servers are native LDAP clients to two OpenLDAP servers. All user-info is available on these servers (getent passwd). Before upgrading to Samba 3.0.21a, we were running Samba 3.0.14a. On the Domain Member Server, when selecting the security-tab of a file or folder, the users were listed as

I'm trying to cross-compile Samba 3.0.21a to run on mipsel (using uClibc). It fails at some point however, and I can't spot the problem: # ./configure --target=mipsel-linux --host=mipsel-linux --build=i386-pc-linux-gnu && make (...) problems upgrading from 3.0.20b to 3.0.21a
I ran into some problems last night upgrading from 3.0.20b to 3.0.21a. I did my usual build from source, but when I ran it, winbindd would die on me. So I invoked it with -d10 -F and watched the progress on the console. It takes a while reading the winbindd_idmap.tdb file and then eventually, it displays the message "Aborted" and dies. Any ideas? As it was on a production server, I

bug in 3.0.21a?
hello when I try to connect to a share from my windows xp client, it does not work. In linux via smbclient, there's no problem. see below for the error log version = 3.0.21a security = server (the problem only seems to occur on servers that rely on another samba server for authentication). any ideas? werner [2006/01/27 09:30:32, 2] auth/auth.c:check_ntlm_password(307)

SOLVED was Re: Any ESRI users? Upgrade 3.0.14 to 3.0.21a broke Arcmap layer loading?
Did not hear from anyone on this, so maybe we are the only ESRI users who got bit, but this turned out to be an issue with oplocks. Disabling oplocks on the server eliminated the problem. Samba 3.0.21a panic - oplock problem?
I upgraded from Samba 3.0.20 to 3.0.21a last night on my Solaris 10 machine. After the upgrade, everything seemed to work fine, but I see that Samba is panic'ing in the logs. As far as I can tell, the client retries whatever it was doing and succeeds (at least, we've had no reports of problems from our users). I have attached a level 10 debug, backtrace, and my smb.conf. Repost: Help - compilation of winbind_nss_solaris.c/3.0.21a/Solaris 7 and older fails
I would really appreciate help ! I did not have any reply to my two posts and I don't know what to do. I can't build 3.0.21a and I have to migrate 54 Solaris 2.5.1 servers from 2.2.8a to 3.0.x. I'm afraid we could not move to newer solaris versions before 12 or 18 months. Under is the problem description. Thank you for your help. Pierre --------- SOLARIS 7 --------- On Solaris 7

Solaris 9/Samba 3.0.21a
Hi list, Having a problem with a newly replaced fileserver. Using V3.0.21a on fully patched Solaris 9 Sparc. uname -a reports Generic_118558-06. Problems reported seem to be linked to file size; for instance, users can't open their .pst or netscape mail files stored on a share of the samba server. Other files seem to open properly, just large files seem to be affected (100 mb or more).
