I have users from Domain A trying to browse a domain member samba server in Domain B. Domain A and Domain B are both Windows 2k domains. Domain B has a one way trust to A. A users can browse Domain B Windows server with no problem so I no the trust is fine. Samba version is 3.0.21b on RH Linux ES 3. Hello all. After last update (from winbind-3.5.3 and krb5-1.8.1 to winbind-3.5.10 and krb5-1.9.1) users from a trusted domain can't authenticate any more. Machines are joined to domain PERSONALE, and users from domain STUDENTI aren't recognized. Domains are handled by W2k8 or W2k8r2 (I have no control on these). Yohoo! We want to authenticate our Cisco admins to freeradius. This should authenticate to our running AD (W2003Srv). Googling for freeradius and AD tells me to use ntlm_auth. For ntlm_auth I need a running winbindd. And kerberos. And there's my problem. Everyone, I am going nuts trying to figure this problem out. I have successfully joined a SUSE 10 server to our domain and configured samba for ADS authentication. Good Morning, Ive been trying to test Samba AD on Ubuntu 18.04 using samba version 4.8.0  The DC seems to be working fine all tests have passed.  I was able to connect Win7 RSAT, a Ubuntu workstation and a File server.  My problem is the file server will not give response to 'sudo getent passwd' with or with out username or DOMAIN\username. Everything else works as far as I can tell.
