fa (psych) output oblique.scores=TRUE vs. FALSE
Dear R-List, I have carried out a factor analysis using fa (psych) with nfactors=2, rotation="oblimin" and fm="pa". Now I have to report both pattern AND structure matrix. As I have understood R-Documentation, this can be obtained by setting the "oblique.scores" argument TRUE (structure matrix) or FALSE (pattern matrix), respectively. However both produced the same

building of libnss_wins.so
It appears that nsswitch/libnss_wins.so doesn't get built when the configure option --without-winbind is specified. Is this not useful when not using winbind? I thought it would allow a wins lookup for hosts on a Samba PDC regardless of whether or not winbind was being used. Thanks. Chris

libnss_wins crashing Firefox/Iceweasel?
I'm using Debian Sid, and it seems like Iceweasel (aka Firefox) has been crashing a lot lately with "Bus Error" printed to stdout when it dies. I use mono/.net and python, so my C/C++ debugging skills are very lacking. I was able to capture the following using gdb on Iceweasel: Program received signal SIGBUS, Bus error. : Bug in Error() and the use of Error() for repeated measures with more than 2 fa ctors
I forgot to mention that this analysis was carried out using the Windows version . Perhaps this problem is windows specific. Inclusion of libnss_wins in vendor distros?
This might be a stupid question, but I ask only because I can't think of a good reason... Why do so many vendors' builds of Samba not include libnss_wins, the WINS/NetBIOS name resolution library? I find that it is very helpful for my Linux/Samba servers to be able to resolve hostnames by WINS. It also seems to improve domain browsing performance dramatically to have the library present

Evergreen ILS on CentOS?
I spent a number of hours at one of the local SF clubs turning a desktop into a dual-boot (if they ever need that for anything) CentOS 6.4 system, then trying to install Evergreen, an oss library package. Can you say, "dependency hell"? I suspect they wrote it on Ubuntu (this is client/server software, dunno why they'd do that). At any rate, I yum installed the postgresql 9.x

Psych package: fa.diagram, how to re-arrange layout so numbers do not over-write each other
Dear R help I have conducted a fa() analysis, and I want to use fa.diagram to assess the extent to which the 11 latent factors predict the 37 items in a psychological battery. However, the display on the screen has very large font size for the coefficients of the relationship between the 11 factors and the 37 items, so the numbers overlap and are therefore illegible. When I output this to a

Samba DNS fails when queried with nslookup commands
Hai, Only the forwarder is running in this systemd setup. This : 127.0.0.53:53 does NOT conflict with normaly resolv.conf setting Because samba or any dns server does not run on 127.0.0.53 Dont make the mistake to see this for : 127.0.0.1 Please show : /etc/hosts /etc/resolv.conf Depending on which one your using: /etc/network/interfaces and/or /etc/netplan/01-netcfg.yaml

Same here, im a minimalist also with the installs. But based on my experience, i try to keep system defaults at much in place as they are and use that to the best. Why? Way less problems when you

member server nslookup
I just transfered fsmo roles from one DC to my newer DC and all went well. Thank you Samba team!! Great documentation, BTW. My domain (basically) consists of one ADDC, one member server and two W10 clients and one W7 client. While setting up the newer DC had been running some nslookup on the DC's and decided to run nslookup on my member server and do not know if I have discovered and
