Threshold Quantile Regression code CRASHES in R
I am working on a two stage threshold quantile regression model in R, and my aim is to estimate the threshold of the reduced-form equation (call it rhohat), and the threshold of the structural equation (call it qhat), in two stages. On the first stage, i estimate rhohat by quantile regression and obtain the fitted values. I use these fitted values to estimate qhat on the second stage. The code is

udp question
i all
I use linux as GiGE router and have 6 NIC on it
Those days the NIC interrupt takes around 100% CPU but the system is 4G memroy and 8 CPU. I can't see any error packet in this NIC interface too
After I block the udp, the %CPU drops. but the UDP only takes around 8M in general
We use UDP traffic for voice.
Do you have any suggestion ? increase the kernel parameter?
Thank you so much

Not enough memory available
Hello,
I have encountered a rather strange issue with memory allocation to the
domU.
I am trying to run FreeBSD in a HVM, my config file is:
[root@xen-srv sandi]# cat /etc/xen/vm/freebsd.cfg
builder = "hvm"
vcpus = 1
memroy = 2048
disk = [
''phy:/dev/xen-dom0/freebsd,hda,w''
]
name = "freebsd"
#vif = [''bridge=xenbr0,mac=00:16:3e:00:af:d8'']

Experiencing memory leak of xend/qemu-dm
We have created more 200 VMs and run them for almost one year.
There have been no xend memory problems with the servers which contain only
linux vms.
Recently, we decided to use Windows VMs. After that, we have experienced
lack of dom0 memory serveral times
because dom0 memory usage (because of xend) has increased linearly and dom0
became out of memory.
(Eventually OOM killer make the server

Huge VQ codebooks
Hi,
Does anybody know how codebooks are generated in OggVorbis encoder? We
are porting oggorbis encoder on embedded platform for which VQ codebook
memory is hugeeee to imagine. How can we reduce that? Can we do VQ with
less codebooks and if yes how? If any help available?

some issues with modules/syslinux
Dear Syslinux bootloader list,
I'm running into a few issues concerning Syslinux modules here, hoping
you can answer one or more of the following questions:
* Where's "ifmemdsk.c32" ? 4.05, 4.06pre1 and latest 4.10pre seem to
lack it. Only the "ifmemdsk.c" file, which is likely sourcecode. Not
seeing any "ifmemdsk.cbt" legacy comboot module.

Memory limit for Windows 64bit build of R
Dear all
I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise machine, with 64bit R installed
running on 2 x Quad-core Intel Xeon 5500 processor with 24GB DDR3 1066 Mhz
RAM. I am seeking to analyse very large data sets (perhaps as much as
10GB), without the addtional coding overhead of a package such as
bigmemory().
My question is this - if we were to increase the RAM on the machine to
(say) 128GB,

[PATCH V4] virtio-fs: Improved request latencies when Virtio queue is full
When the Virtio queue is full, a work item is scheduled
to execute in 1ms that retries adding the request to the queue.
This is a large amount of time on the scale on which a
virtio-fs device can operate. When using a DPU this is around
40us baseline without going to a remote server (4k, QD=1).
This patch queues requests when the Virtio queue is full,
and when a completed request is taken off,
