MCLUST Covariance Parameterization.
Hello all (especially MCLUS users).
I'm trying to make use of the MCLUST package by C. Fraley and A. Raftery. My problem is trying to figure out how the (model) identifier (e.g, EII, VII, VVI, etc.) relates to the covariance matrix. The parameterization of the covariance matrix makes use of the method of decomposition in Banfield and Rraftery (1993) and Fraley and Raftery (2002) where

ensembleBMA pit function warnings
Hello Chris,
I 've found two other issues
with MAE and CRPS, giving warning when running examples.
I've the same issue on my data.
Hope that you could find some time to take a
look here.
Thank you

"dos filetime resolution" "dos filetimes" respected in samba4
Hello,
i had to upgrade a server from 3.6 to 4.0.10. Now i have a problem had
already i solved again. The problem is that a machines program is old
and require
dos filetime resolution = yes
but i does not work with the new 4.0.10

dos filetime neither for owner
Hello!
On Win9x clients:
With dos filetime = no, if the owner change the file the file's modify
date will be the owners workstation date, if another user change the
file the files modify date will be the samba servers date.
On WinNT clients the behavior is uniform: even if the owner change the
file, the file's modify date will be the samba servers date.
How can I achieve that the Win9x

dos filetime resolution and dvf
I am not getting much benefit from using
oplocks = False
or
dos filetime resolution = True
in Samba 1.9.18p3 on Solaris 2.5.1 and the Developer Studio in Digital
Visual Fortran (v6.0) on WinNT4,SP4. I am also setting my PC clock
to the samba server.
I still get a lot of messages from the Studio informing me the source
code files and workspaces have changed outside the editor or Studio

clustering methods in R
Dear R people,
I need to do some work with clustering, but know next to nothing about it
at present. R has (at least) three clustering packages, cluster, mclust,
cclust.
I was wondering if someone can direct me to some good books where I could
find documentation and background on the functions in these packages. The
html help in these packages lists the following as references. Can people

Time conversion from Win32 64bit FILETIME?
Windows-32 has a time structure called FILETIME, a 64-bit value
representing the number of 100-nanosecond intervals since January 1,
1601 (UTC). That is not a typo, the year is 1601.
Does anyone have a clue(or algorhithm)for how this is converted to
something a little more POSIX-like ?
Thank you,
Derek

Problem with mclust surfacePlot function
I am trying to follow the mclust examples in "MCLUST: Software for Model
Based Clustering, Density Estimation and Disriminant Analysis" by Chris
Fraley and Adrian Raftery, but I cannot reproduce the density and
uncertainty surfaces for the Lansing Woods maples. I am using R 1.8.1 with
the code below. The same code works fine in S-Plus 6.2
Am I missing something or is this a bug?

new version of mclust available
A new version of mclust is now available as a contributed package on CRAN.
The associated manual is located at
http://www.stat.washington.edu/www/research/reports/2006/tr504.pdf
The main feature in terms of new functionality is the option to include
a Bayesian prior in the mixture model for regularization.
The older version is still available mclust02 for those who need
backward compatibility.

strange behavior with "dos filetime resolution = yes"
Hello,
i see a strange behavior with timestamps of files on a samba share
(4.2.6 on SLES 12 SP1 and 4.1.8 on Ubuntu 14.04) with "dos filetime
resolution = yes": On older samba versions, windows properties dialogue
correctly shows only even seconds, but (at least) the two indicated
versions show sometimes even and sometimes odd seconds if the file has
on the server filesystem a

Login failure with SElinux enforcing + Sqlite user DB
I am having a very strange issue with Dovecot + Sqlite + SELinux in enforcing. I am able to log in via IMAPS if SELinux is in permissive, but not able to do so when in enforcing. I do not see any SELinux denials even with dontaudit's enabled. I am running Centos 5 on x86_64 with a customized kernel build and SElinux Strict policy. The log dumps below are in the following order:?

summary.formula table questions
Question 1) I am using the summary.formula function, from the Hmisc,
package, to construct a table of the mean establishment rates of multiple
plant ecotypes. I do not want the count (N) columns included in the table.
Is there a way to suppress that statistic?
Question 2) The table will have multiple columns, each representing a
different location. Is there a way to include Tukey's HSD at

manova and table of means by factor levels
I have a dataset in which I have identified a three-way interaction. Factor
A has 3 levels, factor B has 4 levels, and factor C has 3 levels. I would
like to produce the following:
1) A manova in which I can test the effect of factor C for each
combination of factor A * factor B. I know how to do this using a series of
"do" commands, but I wonder whether there is a more
