Performance Problem / failed to verify PAC server signature
Hello,
We are experiencing ADS lower performance on Samba-3.0.22 for HPUX. I
did Google search, and find out one message posted at
http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2005-November/114231.html at the
earlier time.

One of our users cannot connect to Samba-shares
Hi all,
we here have a user that got a new Windows 7 client (before he had Windows XP) and now is no longer able
to connect to our Samba shares. Testing his client with another account has proven that the client is not the
problem, other user can connect. Also testing the user on another (Windows 7) client gave the result that the
user is not allowed to access.

Help: Failed to verify incoming ticket! revisited, problems with Samba/2003
I am struggling with a Samba/Server 2003 problem which doesn't make
sense.
I have compiled Samba 3.0.14a and MIT Kerberos 1.3.6 several times on
different machines. I have a set of RPMS which work fine on one of my
workstations, but do not work on the server. On the server I get the
dreaded:

Failed to verify incoming ticket!
in the logs. I have compiled

Linux NIS/NFS/Samba server bound to Active Directory
Hello all!
We are currently testing the implementation of a multi-use
server at my work. I am working with a Windows 2003 RC2 domain controller,
and a CentOS 5 NIS/NFS/Samba server. I've followed various how-to's and
researched several errors during the past sixteen hours working on this but
all things I try seem to come back with empty results.

bad encryption type in AD domain authentication
Hello,
I'm trying to access a samba share using an ADS user credentials. I always
get an error, and the debug traces (log level = 5) are giving me the output
in the follow.
I have searched the samba ML archives, and I have found the thread
http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2004-April/084545.html
but, before asking the system admin to apply the eventual KB fixes, I would
like to know if the

I'm Sure I'm Missing Something Simple and Stupid, But...
Problem: When I try to open a samba share from a Windows 2003 R2

When winbind and smb start up, the logs look clean except for the

Debian Stable Samba 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 upgrade - broke my config?
I upgraded Samba from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 using apt & the Debian Stable
binary packages on samba.org. Samba server was a member server for a
Windows 2000 AD domain. Since then, I have been having problems
connecting to it by name (\\TERABYTE) - ip address works fine, but by
name I'm prompted for a username/password and nothing works. I'm
guessing this is a Kerberos problem, and

Authentication problems with win2k3 domain controller
Hi
I'm having problems with samba-3.0.21b and Windows Server 2003 domain
controllers.
When I try to access the samba server from a client (\\sambasrv) I
only get a login prompt, no username/password combination works.
Accessing the samba server through its IP-number instead of
using the netbios name works.
This together with the log message "Failed to verify incoming ticket!"

Problems with ADS membership in win2k domain
I'm having problems with ADS membership for samba. I had a "mostly"
working version with RHES v2.1, krb5 v1.2, samba v3.0.5.
I knew to get to a fully functioning version I would need krb5 v1.3
or later. So finally I had an opertunity to junk RH's crufty krb5
and build from scratch with:
RHES v2.1
MIT krb5 v1.4
samba v3.0.13
This works fine on another server. Now to the

Unable to connect samba server using hostname [2]
Hi,
I've got th same problem than in this tread (no solution found) :
http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2005-November/113914.html
except I've got the problem on all stations.
I am unable to connect to samba server using it's hostname, whereas it's
work with IP address. When I use the hostname, Samba always request for
login/password.

username map change = samba failure
Since I haven't gotten any responses from the segfault log I posted
earlier, I will try another approach. Below is what happens when a
client tries to connect. Again, this all started after I changed a
username mapping entry from root = DOMAIN\Administrator to root =
@"DOMAIN\Domain Admins". This is in a security = ADS setup. wbinfo -u
and -g return the correct information.

Samba samba-3.0.11 Upgrade Problems
I recently upgraded a backup fileserver used for testing purposes from
samba-3.0.10 to the current samba-3.0.11 using the FreeBSD portupgrade.
The fileserver is setup in a W2K AD. The fileserver uses Winbind to get
AD accounts and shares are created on the Samba server. Worked fine
until the upgrade.
Here is a copy of the current smb.conf
