Can auth with smbclient, but not workstation.
We have a setup (that has worked since samba 3 was released), where we have a windows 2000 ADC, and a debian sarge based (running all current patches and only Debian packages (nothing related to samba/winbind is compiled by us) samba 3.0.xx server set up with winbind/pam to act as a domain member serving files, whilst authenticating from our Windows ADC. - so what happens is... w2ksrv, and a samba based netlogon?
Is it possible to have a windows 2000 server in AD mode, with a samba server as a domain member, and have the roaming profiles and netlogon stuff all happen on the samba server? So: W2ksrv as ADC. Samba box is joined to AD on the w2ksrv box. We then add a user to the w2ksrv box, and set up the profile to load from \\sambaserver\homes\profile\ and to run the logon script from

Best way for exchange?
I have been asked to set up a customer with Exchange 2000. I have tried to convert them, so please don't suggest it. We have 3 boxes we can use to do this with. We want to use Samba 3 as the PDC (ldap backend) and Samba 3 as BDC (ldap backend), with the exchange box as a domain member. Will this work? If not, what is the best way to ensure that : a. We have PDC and BDC for authentication

smbclient -c options
I'm trying to get a recursive file listing with smbclient: smbclient //host/share -Uusername%password -c "ls -alFR" But I get an error: NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE listing \-alFR Evidently, smbclient thinks I'm asking for a file mask. Is there a way to get a recursive file listing on a samba share so I can pipe it to wc -l for a file count? Ideally, I'd like to: (This won't

W2k ADC + Samba Member + winbind + win 98 clients problem
Hi there. I have a windows 2000 Server in ADC mode. I have a samba 3 box as a domain member to the ADC where security=ADS I auth fine to this box from Windows 2000/XP clients. I see shares on the domain member with no issues. winbind works fine, in that it auth's ok etc etc Windows 98 clients are configured to log into the Bionomics domain, and do so with the W2k Server with no problems.

Change in smbclient between 3.0.24 and 3.0.25c breaks third party app
Hello list, A change in smbclient between 3.0.24 and 3.0.25c breaks [1] the gollem filemanager [2] and maybe others. In particular folder creation is broken unless the folder is a top level folder on the share. To create a subfolder "level2" in the folder /level1 of a share gollem executes this command: /usr/bin/smbclient "//1.2.3.4/sharename" "-p139"

AD Auth 2003
Hi all, I am attempting to setup a SMB server that will auth to Windows2003 AD - I've setup SMB many times, but this is my first attempt at AD auth integration. Most everything (testing from commandline) works - see below info But the docs say I need to copy pam_winbind.so to /lib/security but I can not find this file in the samba source distro. So what goes into

I'll give the concept of what I want to do, followed by the details of my present config. I have a functioning samba 3.0.8pre2 server that is multihomed. The 100Mb line is attached to our main network. the 1Gb line is attached to a private 1Gb lan

I have tried for several accounts (below is one of them), "net ads" always reports less 1 item than "net rpc"? (The result of "net rpc" is same with the AD's setting) Any hints? Thanks in advance. nfs, 64 / 32 bit, locking problem
Well, next problem. Because of samba isn't running on alphaserver 1200 with gentoo linux and kernel 2.6.9-ac12 i've simply exported my smbroot (on alpha, it is my fileserver) and have samba running on an intel pentium4 box, also gentoo, kernel 2.6.0-ac12. Seems to work, eccept some locking problems. smbd[9450]: [2005/02/08 17:29:51, 0] locking/posix.c:posix_fcntl_lock(657) smbd[9450]:

[PATCH 10/18] hal2: convert to dma_alloc_noncoherent
Use the new non-coherent DMA API including proper ownership transfers. This also means we can allocate the buffer memory with the proper direction instead of bidirectional. Sound card problem in acoustic echo
Hi all, The conclusion of the discussion is that most sound cards indeed have different capture and playing frequencies for the unknown reasons. But we all know the adaptive filter of the AEC relies on the synchronization of the far-end and near-end sampling rates. Then Has anybody tried to use speex AEC in Windows system? How do you solve this problem? (I have tested speex AEC. In most

These cards do not have their ADC and DAC synchronised. Do common on-board or PCI sound card lock to some incoming signal? Yes, there is a crystal oscillator and a PLL or divider to

[LLVMdev] 答复: 答复: [LLVMdev] How to bind a register variable with a given general purpose register?
or you can just add a built-in function in c frontend "readadcreg()" and emit it as llvm.zhu.readadcreg(), so you can just call the built-in function to get the adc register value.
