join columns
Dear R-help, I wonder if you could give me some suggestions in how to do a union join of two data frames as follow: -> union join the common column, and insert a 0 if one is missing. I made a function to perform the following, and I know it may not that quite welly written, but it works. Any suggestions are welcome, many thanks. Anthony > q1 =

incorrect number of subscriptions error in user-written function
I have written a function which returns an "incorrect number of subscriptions error" and am unable to identify why this should happen. Any help would be gratefully received. The problem: I would like to generate combinations/permutations across different selections - for example all the combinations of "3 chosen from 6" combined with "5 chosen from 8" combined with

RJS - replacing html for multiple entries
I have some elements that could show up on the same page multiple times. Can anyone recommend a good way to do a replace_html in this case? I may have, for example, 3 posts that have been repeated on a page, all with the same id (e.g, <div id="post-11">) and I want to perform a replace_html against all of them. Doing it the normal way just replaces the first. Can someone help?

in Rd documentation, line breaks in code blocks?
Hi everyone, following the gentle advice from this list, I write a package description Rd file. I have a section in there. In this section, I have a subsection. In this subsection, I want to have a code fragment. This code fragment should include several commands, spanning several lines. Example: ========== \name{aqr-package} \alias{aqr-package} \alias{aqr} \docType{package} \title{Package

signif() generic
Dear list, I'm trying to write a class for Gaussian error propagation of measured values and their (estimated) errors, > setClass("sec", representation(val="numeric", err="numeric")) I've already successfully implemented basic arithmetics using mostly the "Arith" group generics. But I'm running into trouble when trying to get signif() to

I am really a beginner of PRI ISDN board, I am wondering if there is a "quick start" chan_dahdi.conf configuration I could use. I tried to install two "FreePBX" boxes follow the instructions from "http://www.cadvision.com/blanchas/Asterisk/DahdiT1trunk.html" connected them between PRIs, It worked. And now if I refer the FreePBX "chan_dahdi.conf" it looks

How can you buy R? [Broadcast]
My understanding is that if a licensee wants to redistribute GPL code (or work derived from GPL code), then it has to be done under GPL as well, meaning the person must make it known to users that they can have access to the source code if so desired, and they can do anything they want with that code (including selling), but GPL must remain in force for further redistribution. Using Sweave to generate multiple documents
Hello, I tried looking for a Sweave-specific list but didn't find one, nor did I find an answer via google, so will send this question to the general R list. Please feel free to point me in the right direction. I am using Sweave and would like to have a single .Rnw document that generates 1) a summary report, 2) a full report, 3) slides for a talk. I think my material lends itself to have

Hi there, I'm trying to migrate a domain between two Gentoo hosts using KVM as hypervisor, but the migration hangs. I tried both live or offline migration modes without success. Details below. Anyone has an idea of what could be wrong with my setup? The migration is the only thing not working. Host A (initially running the VM) ================================= # uname -a Linux pion

[PATCH 3/8] core: add falcon library functions
Falcon processors are used in various places of GPU chips. Although there exist different versions of the falcon, and some variants exist, the base set of actions performed on them is the same, which results in lots of duplicated code. This patch consolidates the current nvkm_falcon structure and extends it with the following features: * Ability for an engine to obtain and later release a given

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: fix bogus GPL-2 license header
The bulk SPDX addition made all these files into GPL-2.0 licensed files. However the remainder of the project is MIT-licensed, these files (primarily header files) were simply missing the boiler plate and got caught up in the global update. Fixes: b24413180f5 (License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with no license) Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>
