Hi People, I am new to this entire setup and I am running Fedora17 on my Linux machine. I am trying to do a college course at home with Stanford.edu on eclipse & Karel package for intro to programming. As I start the install of the 1st package which is Java 1.6 JRE installer for the PC <http://www.stanford.edu/class/cs106a/software/jre-6u2-windows-i586-p.exe> It gets stuck on step 3.

Is anybody else having problems with CentOS 5 not loading the usb drivers for kickstart installations? I'm passing "linux ks=hd:sdb1:/ks.cfg," but I get a message saying it can't find the ks.cfg file and I should enter another path. I use the exact same boot options with CentOS 4 without any problems. Are you trying to install the 64-bit or the 32-bit? While the install is running, some of the other virtual consoles display logs and error information. What do those show when the install rejects your disk? Once you have the samba set up with winbind (use samba 3.0alphaxx), you could use getent passwd and getent group to get all the users and group information. There are freeware nt password cracking programs that you can use if you are admin on the nt box to crack and get a list of all users' passwords.
