So no conversion from group_mapping.ldb to group_mapping.tdb?
Greetings, I recently upgraded an AD member server from Samba 3.5.15 to Samba 3.6.9 and found that I had lost all the existing local group mappings. I see that the group mapping file has gone from group_mapping.ldb to group_mapping.tdb. I asked on this list as well as searching the web, Samba documentation (which still seems focused on version 3.5), and Samba Wiki and found nothing on a

3.0.0 -> 3.0.1 : group_mapping.tdb perms
Hello, I'm running Samba 3.0.0 on a PDC server with LDAP. I tested the latest version (3.0.1) on a test server with the same config files. But I get the following message in my logs if /var/lib/samba/group_mapping.tdb 's mode is set to 600 (like it is set in my 3.0.0 server). [2003/12/29 17:59:51, 0] groupdb/mapping.c:init_group_mapping(139) Failed to open group mapping database

Upgrading from 3.0.23 but group_mapping.tdb is empty on current config
Hi all, I've done a serious amount of reading around this but I still can't figure out the implications of what I'm seeing. I have inherited a CentOS 4 Samba 3.0.23 PDC & file server for 40 hosts that has been through the wars. It is standalone and stable and uses the smbpasswd file authentication backend, however I need to upgrade for Windows 7 support. I intend to build a

smbpasswd not attempting to use LDAP
I've only got LDAP configured as a passdb type in my smb.conf, but samba appears to be completely ignoring that and creating an /etc/samba/smbpass file (full output of that at the bottom) my smb.conf has: ldap admin dn = "cn=Admin,dc=byramhealthcare,dc=com" ldap ssl = off passdb backend ldapsam:ldap://ldapmaster.byramhealthcare.com ldap delete dn = no ldap user suffix =

[PATCH] tdb multiple format
Hi, As I said yesterday, I worked on a solution for tdb format in order to manage easily new fields for this format. So I add small changes to init_sam_from_buffer and init_buffer_from_sam in this purpose. The data TDB_FORMAT_STRING became an array which contains the list of the different fields format which exist. When the tdb file is read, for each records, Samba will try the most recent

Unable to specify hierarchy for data-in-modules
Hello, I''m running Puppet agent stand-alone on Windows. I got data-in-modules working. However, no matter what I put into the module hiera.yaml, I can only override the defaults from common.yaml by osfamily (and not, e.g., by environment). In the setup below the following command outputs: >puppet apply --binder -e "notice lookup (''my_key'')"

Re : float and double precision with C code
thank you for your quick answer, I'm far of the digits capacity and my values are not the result of a computation. I'm developping a R package to acces a specific data source. And I need precision a few better. How can I do ? When I try this In R console, this is correct and what I need : > my_value <- 29.958334 > my_value == 29.958334 [1] TRUE But I need to do the first

ntfs user mappings?
Not bad but I wanted an ldap version because I was having issues running ldbsearch as a normal user. I created the following functions to get it in and out of base64 and hex swap_endian() { local input=$1 local output="" while [ "${input}" != "" ];do output="${input:0:2}${output}" input=${input:2} done echo $output } base64_to_hex() { echo $(echo

Local channel scenario flushes CDR before dialplan end
Hi, There's a quite complex dialplan scenario and I found out that CDR of main channel is flushed right after hangup on Local channel. I will try to simplify my scenario: [incoming] exten => 555,1,Noop(do something before using local channel, fill some variables, play IVR menus and so on) same => n,Dial(Local/555 at office/n,,g) same => n,Noop(Notice the option "/n" and
