Sudden IMAP problem - UID Errors
Hi,
We have quite happily been running dovecot with no issues at all for
approx. two years now and have had no problem whatsoever. Great work :)
BUT (there is always a but!).... yesterday one of our users started
complaining that they were having issues with their mail. I checked and
although they can still view their IMAP mailbox ok it constantly throws
up error messages such as:

Adding users by ignoring unix password file
Hi,
Is it possible to add users/change passwords for users in samba
without it being dependant on anything in the UNIX password file?
For example I want to add a user to my samba password file without
them existing in the UNIX password file.
If anyone has any RTFM info they can kick me in it would be most
appreciated :)
Thanks

Trying to build OpenSSH-2.1.0 on HP-UX 10.20
Hi,
I just tried building of OpenSSH-2.1.0 on HP-UX 10.20 and found the following
items:
- The configure command I used at the beginning:
CC=cc CFLAGS="-Ae +O2 +DAportable" CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/include -I/usr/local/s
sl/include -I/usr/include/X11R6" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/local/ssl/lib

dsadd doesn't work correct
Hi together,
I installed samba 4 on a server with Debian-Wheezy-OS. Everything seems
to work fine. I can add a user with RSAT. The user is added to the AD,
the profile is stored in the server-profile-path and homepath can be
accessed.
I have to import about 400 datasets to the AD. Therefore I want to use
the commandlinetool dsadd. With this tool I can import datasets, which I
can see with RSAT.

[LLVMdev] Enhancing the Trident compiler
Hi,
Would anyone happen to know if there are any efforts underway
at enhancing the Trident compiler?
Some of the things that I would like to add to the Trident compiler
are :
a. Support for compiling multiple C functions in an input file
b. Support for parameter passing
c. Support for functions returning results
d. Support for a C++ front end, and C++ objects
e. Updating the trident

Operation not permitted mounting samba-share via cifs
Hi everybody,
I want to use my samba-shared Homedirectory from my Linux-Server on my
Linux-workstation. I was using smbfs until now, but since i upgraded my
hardware i'm not any more able to use smbfs, i get error-messages
(timeouts) in the kernel logs and I/O-Errors on the console. Having this
problems i read about cifs and that's much better, nicer, sexyer and
faster than smbfs.

[LLVMdev] Enhancing the Trident compiler
Hi,
I'm not sure, but I think you should do point 'e' first - unless you
want to implement 'a' to 'd' first for 1.5 and then again for 2.4.
Best regards,
Nico

[LLVMdev] Error when attempting to build llvm-gcc-4.2-2.4.source on Mac OS X 10.5.6
Thanks Anton,
Yes, I just realized this. I am going
through the steps now.
So, you're saying that Trident will not work with llvm-2.4?
If I have to use llvm-1.5, which is the corresponding C front end? I
couldn't locate the C front end package on the Trident Compiler
website.
Best regards,

[LLVMdev] Error when attempting to build llvm-gcc-4.2-2.4.source on Mac OS X 10.5.6
Hi,
I'm new to LLVM and I want to setup the Trident Compiler
system on Mac OS X. I downloaded the llvm-gcc-4.2-2.4.source.tar.gz
package, created a build directory and ran the following command to
configure
$ ../src/configure --program-prefix=llvm- --disable-bootstrap --enable-
checking --enable-languages=c,c++
$ make -j 2
Configure works fine, but I get the following error

lvresize --resizefs
Hi,
There is a difference between the help of lvresize and its man page.
In the manpage, there is nothing about the -r or --resizefs function.

[LLVMdev] Error when attempting to build llvm-gcc-4.2-2.4.source on Mac OS X 10.5.6
Hello, Elvis

You haven't configured llvm-gcc properly. Please do read readme.llvm file.
However, afair, Trident was LLVM 1.5-based, and it will require
massive rewrite to use LLVM 2.x
(bytecode format was also changed)

Example Polycom function key config
Hi,
Has anyone here reprogrammed their Polycom features keys using
sip/ipmid.cfg?
If so I would be really grateful if someone could send me an example as
I have tried various entries for hours now and don't seem to be getting
anywhere.
Any help appreciated.

Polycom 301's drop last two digits of dialed number
Hi All,
Having a rather annoying problem with the Polycom 301 phones, suspect it
to be my dialplan.
Basically if you lift the receiver off the handset and dial a number, it
will not let you dial a number longer than 10 digits (Can see this being
acceptable in US, but in UK its a right pain). As soon as the 10th digit
is entered, it starts to dial and the number is invalid. If the phone is

ssh-agent and id_dsa
Hi!
I am distributing 2.5.1p1 for production use on my system by now and prepare
switching to protocol 2 as default protocol.
I just noted, that ssh-agent can be used for protocol 1 and 2, but the
keys kept in ssh-agent are not compared against keys in .ssh.
Example: I have a DSA key in id_dsa which I load into ssh-agent on login.
When connecting to an account accepting the key everything is

different font and window behaviour w/ diff X servers
Hi:
Like Gerard Patel mentioned on the developer's list I can confirm
that Wine's behaviour _is_ now very dependant on which X server
is used and to top it: also this behaviour is varying quite a bit
depending on the Windows application which is run.
I have font problems with XF86_SVGA on a Trident Video-107PCI
(cheapy-cheapy) and not with XF86_S3 on a Diamond 2000 3D (old).
The problem

Hi
I am trying to migrate an old printserver from one samba4 (4.8.11 on
CentOS-6) server to a newer one (4.11.2 on CentOS-8)
using
net rpc printer migrate all
The migration of queue, forms, securitty, settings works, during the
migration of the drivers (net rpc printer migrate drivers)? the command
dumps core at the first driver
Here a level10 output
