Hi everybody,

What can it be?

Using libvirt to monitor virtual environment.
Hey,
I am new with libvirt. I am working to create a program to monitor a
virtual environment. I have seen some solutions that use libvirt. Is this
API good to make monitoring operations? I didn't see operations that show
the CPU or memory usage, at least in Java binding. Are there operations
like these, or we have to calculate based on lower level informations?

caracter set problem
Hi, I'm from Brazil, and I'm having a problem with special
caracters when mounting shares upon Windows XP and 2003.
Even using the options codepage=850 and iocharset=utf-8 some caracters
like ?, ?, ?, ? are gone.
I've tried a lot of combinations of codepages and charsets, but the best
result
is the sample above.
Thanks in advance

sambaLogonHours - Really GMT?
Hi,
I'm using BRST timezone (Brazilian East), and AFAIK[1], sambaLogonHours stores
it in GMT timezone.
IIRC, the NT PDC is comparing with its local time. For example, if the user is
allowed to log between 6am to 6pm, it will work with BRST timezone, even
usrmgr.exe hours restriction is supposed to be in GMT time.
However, when trying to log on a Samba machine, with LDAP backend, it is

Local groups support
Hi all,
Has anyone been able to get local groups support with a Samba Server through
winbindd? Specifically, i am able to store several SIDs in sambaSIDList, but i
can't get winbind working to retrieve (or expand) its members.
Is Winbindd supposed to work _only_ with NT servers?

[PATCH nbdkit v2] common: Move shared bitmap code to a common library.
This is exactly the same as v1:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-December/msg00004.html
except that it now frees the bitmap on unload (which the old code did
not - there was always a memory leak).

Hello,
I sent this request to my local linux user group:
<http://lists.luv.asn.au/wws/arc/luv-talk/2008-02/msg00000.html>
Unfortunately it looks like nobody is able to answer, so I will try
here:
Does anybody know of any sane solution for (globally) managing the
configuration of printers on a large number of Windows computers?
My current solution is

I'm working to construct a very large sparse matrix and have found
relief using the SparseM package. I have encountered an issue that is
confusing to me and wonder if anyone may be able to suggest a smarter
solution. The matrix I'm creating is a covariance matrix for a larger
research problem that is subsequently used in a simulation. Below is the
latex form of the matrix if

[PATCH nbdkit v3] common: Move shared bitmap code to a common library.
v2:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-December/msg00039.html
v2 -> v3:
- Fix all the issues raised in Eric's review.
- Precompute some numbers to make the calculations easier.
- Calculations now use bitshifts and masks in preference to division
and modulo.
- Clear existing bits before setting (which fixes a bug in the cache
filter).
Rich.
