Samba shares do not show up with net view command
Hello Everyone, Currently I'm having a problem with viewing my Samba shares from a Windows XP client using the "net view" command. However, I can map the shares using the command "net use M: \\localhost\sharename <file:///\\localhost\sharename> " to a network drive. I have copied my current smb.conf file below. Problem with CVS working over Samba
Hello everyone, Currently I'm using Samba as a bridge between my Unix files and my windows XP client and it works just fine. But I'm having a problem with using CVS on my Windows XP client. I don't want to have two separate copies of my source files - one copy on my unix box and another copy on my Windows XP client and use CVS to manage two copies of the same sources in different

Strangeness in mount attempts...
I am attempting to find out why the following is happening, and have been spending the last hour or so scanning the mailing list archives and a couple of FAQs (though I would by no means call the search exhaustive, just geting a little too long for my own taste). As far as I can tell, smbmount is a stripped out smbclient with some extras in there to do the sctual mounting. Which is why I am

disable ID3 update
Hi, I'm running Aaron's tunequeue scripts for my radio site. (tunequeue.sf.net) I have ices2 to read Ogg Vorbis files and feed the icecast2 server with those files. Could someone please tell me how can I disable ID3 updating? I want all clients to only show the name of the radio, but don't get any of the ID tag information stored in the Ogg files. Where can I set that? Sorry for

back-translation and round-tripping
i'll be doing some experiments myself, but i thought i'd ask here first about back-translation and round-tripping with markdown and its xhtml output. the object is to take markdown output, reduce it back to a markdown text-file, then regenerate the output again and compare it with the "original" output, repeating if necessary until there exists a pair of files that give perfect

[LLVMdev] llvm-mc direction
Hi All, Bruno asked me to write up a short email about the direction we're going with llvm-mc and how it interacts with the object writer stuff. My hope was that .o writing could be basically done without worrying about llvm-mc, but I think we've reached the point where it is useful to talk about how the two will interact in the future. It turns out that I also failed in the

Simple CDRs
Greyman-- I'm taking this discussion to the list. Folks, what we are talking about here, is me trying to get a grasp around Greyman's (Aaron's) request for a bare-bones CDR generation that describes just total connect time for channels, stripping out all the details. Who cares about xfer, park, hold, etc.? So in the following is our discussion about what *should* be there, and in
