Beginner's Guide to Wine? (mac user)
I am absolutely new to wine, and as such, am fairly clueless as to how to maneuver wine in terminal--or even maneuver in terminal, at all. I am interested in learning. The funny thing is: all the threads in the "Absolute Beginners" section of the forum is generally pretty far beyond my comprehension. So, I'm wondering if someone could refer me to a introductory guide to using script

Samba Server Bug Report for Web Interface on Red Hat 6.2
I was looking at the fix list of the past two releases and didn't notice this bug among them.....it's kind of a nasty one.... I've submitted a report to RedHat regarding this issue and the report can be found here.... http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13302 In short, I was attempting to change my preferences for my Netscape Mail client while the page was

Virtual Mailboxes
My next bonehead maneuver - was more of the first! location = virtual:/var/mail/%%d/%%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual was adapted from my definition for my shared namespace. Which was intended to share OTHER users - which is why the '%%' prefixes are used. Changing to: location = virtual:/var/mail/%d/%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual Now I can actually view something! But I still have a

Printer with driver from Samba prints only b/w
Hai, A quick reply. As far i can tell, the steps you did are fine. The only diffence here compaired to my setup. And i also use(d) an HP CP 3525, i used the PCL6 6.0.0 and 6.2.1 and 6.5.0 drivers. Off these i know they should work. Only thing here is i cant really the exact setup, its years old already and i changed to kyocera printers. One major thing here, i configured this all from a

Print Options & CUPS - Can't stop watermarking?
Greetings, I have just set up samba printing with CUPS as the back end. (Samba 2.2.8a, CUPS 1.1.9) Everything works great, including automatic driver download/Point -n- Print. The problem is that whenever I print through Samba from a Windows 2000 Workstation, a watermark gets added to the print job. The default driver options are set on the server, so that watermarking is "off",

Plan to update to Xen 4.6
When we started the Virt SIG, our stated goal was to support one recent version of Xen with a recent kernel. We updated at that time to Xen 4.4, as the most recent stable release. We skipped 4.5; but now with 4.6 out, I think it's about time to upgrade. Moving to 4.6 has several distinct advantages for CentOS 7. Xen 4.4 has no systemd integration, while Xen 4.6 does. Additionally, Xen 4.4

How to rewrite a CALLERID on outgoing calls
Hello all, is here anybody who have any idea how i can insert a script or program to rewrite a callerid with special rules. This ist necessary because of many moving mobile offices who changes the telefonenumbers in short time distances. I've found the SetCIDName feature. But this doesn't work in my relation. The phones from wich the calls are, are connected via OH323 Module and

C6 compatible wireless printers?
Hi, Any success stories with C6 and wireless printers? Or maybe horror stories and what products to avoid? I'm looking at some HPs on amazon right now, some quite cheap, ~ ?50, not bad. Ideally they should have easy to refill cartridges. Thanks.

dm-ioband + bio-cgroup benchmarks
Hi All, I have got excellent results of dm-ioband, that controls the disk I/O bandwidth even when it accepts delayed write requests. In this time, I ran some benchmarks with a high-end storage. The reason was to avoid a performance bottleneck due to mechanical factors such as seek time. You can see the details of the benchmarks at: http://people.valinux.co.jp/~ryov/dm-ioband/hps/ Thanks, Ryo

Printer with driver from Samba prints only b/w
Hi, sorry if this is off topic, but it only happens when samba is involved, maybe anybody here has an idea. System info: - Clients used were Win10, ranging from 1803 to 1903. - The DCs are running Samba 4.7.6. - The print server is a member server. I tried both scenarios with two samba print servers, Ubuntu 18.04, Cups 2.7. One had Ubuntus Samba, 4.7.6. The other used Louis van Belles 4.10.7. -

Wine & Cups printing
I have a strange problem with Wine (20010824) and Cups (1.1.10). I have removed LPRng and it's various parts from my RH 7.1/KDE-2.2.1 system and installed Cups. I've set up all of my printers under Cups (two Laserjets, both PS and two inkjet, not PS) and they all work great with my linux apps and even with Corel WPO2K for Linux, but under Wine I can't get the two inkjets to work.
