Unable to browse from Windows Machine - Samba 3.0.20 as an AD Member
Hi folks,
I have updated samba to 3.0.20, on SLES9. I had a configuration earlier,
where SLES9 was a domain member 2003 Server (samba 3.0.14a), everything used
to work well earlier. After updating.. I rejoined it to AD there was no
errors.
However, Clients from windows were unable to access the shares.

Can RH AS3 be a ADS member with winbind+nss+krb5?
Samba is trying to be a member server in an AD in native mode, using
winbind, nss, and kerberose. There are 3 kdc's (2 are Win2003, 1 is
Win2000), samba server is RH-AS3 + Samba version 3.0.9 (from samba.org)
+ krb5 1.3.1-6 (from Fedora Core). I thought I had things working (join
succeeded, could access shares, modify files), and then it stopped
working. After clearing out the host account

Postfix header check help
Hi list,
I have a requirement for a mail server that only allows email to pass
with a particular word in the subject line.
Reading the header checks docs for Postfix I thought I may be able to
add this rule:
!/^Subject: .*dingdong/ REJECT Need to add dingdong to subject line to
send
Which should reject all mail unless the subject line contains
"dingdong". Unfortunately this seems to

Samba 3.0.20b - still getting "Winbind Dead but subsys locked"
I can remove the /var/locl/subsys/winbindd file to clear the subsys locked
message but this does not chnage the winbind crash problem.
I originally noticed this problem on 20a and thought that 20b had a fix for
the winbind crash.
Any clues?
I am running RH ES 4.0 64 bit with samba packages downlaoded from

give it a 1 second pause.

Xen Starting DomainU:Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working
hi,
I am trying to start a new domainU but got the error:
Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working
I have struggled with it for a long time. I found somebody else report this
but can not find a solution.
The xen version is xen-3.0 latest version.
I do not have a initrd.
Domain0 works fine but when I create a new domain, it always gives an error
as above.
Thanks,

Java and help.start() search engine
The latest Sun Java release is jre-1_5_0, and unlike the recent versions
of j2re-1_4_2-0[2345], this one does work with Firefox 1.0PR, Mozilla
1.7.3 and Netscape 7.1 (and hopefully other Mozilla-based browsers).
