[PATCH] drm/nouveau/dmem: missing mutex_lock in error path
In nouveau_dmem_pages_alloc(), the drm->dmem->mutex is unlocked before calling nouveau_dmem_chunk_alloc(). Reacquire the lock before continuing to the next page. Signed-off-by: Ralph Campbell <rcampbell at nvidia.com> --- I found this while testing Jason Gunthorpe's hmm tree but this is independant of those changes. I guess it could go through David Airlie's tree for nouveau

Question on using elements of a vector
Hi So my particular problem is this: I have a row vector of length 5200 elements - specifically created by x<-rbinom(5200,1,0.5) y<-matrix(x,nrow=1,ncol=5200) y now, each element is either a 0 or a 1 - e.g. it could be (0,1,1,1,1,0,0,0,1,1,1) e.t.c. when the element is a 1, i need to multiply a number (say 1000) by 1.005, and if it is 1 again, multiply it _again_ by 1.005. so

Problem in using rsync
Hi I use rsync to perform backup on disk on a SunFire 880 with Solaris 8. For performance issues, we launch simultaneously 5 rsyncs on 5 different fliesystems and about 150-200 "cp -p" commands on as many database files. We have been using the same scripts for about 2 months, without problems. The backup is performed on the same server (from filesystem to filesystem on the same

The specified network name is no longer available 3.0.25 RHEL4
I have a reproducible intermittent error large site - "The specified network name is no longer available". This happens when copying large files. Below is part of log level 10 output & strace. Sorry for the long posting. I will probably need to put the loglevel 10 attached to a bugzilla - but thought I would try the lists initially. RHEL4 samba-3.0.25b-1.el4_6.4

Non-determinism in libFuzzer tests on AArch64
Hi, I've seen this issue pop up on the mailing list a couple of times before with no resolution [1][2][3]. It has been getting really bad for our AArch64 buildbots lately. You can see a few examples at the end of my email [4], but we have the same failures on a couple of other bots as well. Does anyone have any idea how to reproduce / investigate these issues? If not, is it reasonable to

identical function names from 2 packages
Hi, If I load 2 packages that have a function with the same name, how do I tell R to run one or the other? (Instead of having R automatically use the first- or last-loaded one, whichever it is. (Which is it, by the way.)) Cheers! Nick -- ==================================================== Nicholas J. Matzke Ph.D. Candidate, Graduate Student Researcher Huelsenbeck Lab Center for

msaccess odbc driver not working
I have problems import ms access 2000 data into Word 2000. The error is: DDE connection failed. Browsing the internet I found out that ms access uses ODBC for this (am I correct?). I have installed MDAC_TYP.EXE like in the Winehq documentation. I think that the msaccess driver doesn't work o.k. To reproduce: Run wine c:\windows\system\ODBCAD32.EXE --> in

380x380 dataframe to list
Hi, This can't be hard, but I can't find the solution. I have a 380x380 data frame of numbers. I would like to turn it into a single column so I can do e.g. hist and mean on it without writing my own function. There must be a simple function for this, but I'm stumped -- reshape, dim, etc. don't seem to do it... Help appreciated! Thanks!! Nick --

problems with pxelinux
Hi. I'm quite new in Linux under-the-hood. I'm trying to net-boot a tablet Pc with no CD and FD. I successfully installed and configured DHCP and TFTP. I wrote a /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default config file as follows: > label linux_test > kernel vmlinuz > append root=initrd but it seems to ignore the two directives "kernel" and "append" as

extract all numbers from a string
Hi all, I have been beating my head against this problem for a bit, but I can't figure it out. I have a series of strings of variable length, and each will have one or more numbers, of varying format. E.g., I might have: tmpstr = "The first number is: 32. Another one is: 32.1. Here's a number in scientific format, 0.3523e10, and another, 0.3523e-10, and a negative,

convert "1", "10", and "100" to "0001", "0010", "0100" etc.
Hi, Is there an easy way to convert numbers into a form such that they all have the same number of digits? e.g.: "1", "10", and "100" ...become... "0001", "0010", "0100" etc. I ask because I am producing a large number of files that need to sort consistently by filename. Currently I get this kind of sorting: filename1 filename10

histogram-like barplot? (or reverse?)
Hi, I have a simple task I can't figure out. I'd like to take some measurements I made, e.g.: year (y-axis) 1 2 3 4 5 6 counts (x-axis) 10 10 20 30 40 50 And then, make a barplot with the x-axis ticks (representing the borders between years) between the bars. However, barplot seems to force you to make the x-axis arbitrary categories. I want it to be continuous (as in a

Hi, Is there a way to parse a postscript (*.ps) file with R (or perhaps with some other command-line utility)? E.g., I have a map in postscript format with lots of features, but I just want to extract the coastline and it's coordinates. Any help very much appreciated! Cheers!
