Unable to find a suitable server
Good afternoon you all. I'm running a redhat enterprise 3.0. I have manually installed samba-3.0.4 as a pdc. Windows PDC and Samba PDC
In our company we have two separated domains, I mean, there's not trust relationship at all. I can see the windows 2000 domain in the browse list but not the computers that belong to that domain. Browse problem with different domains
How can I browse the network having three different domains, 1 samba (pdc) and 2 windows 2000 server (pdc). They are on different network segments as well. Another domain browse problem
Hi. We have two networks, one on Windows 2000 and another in SAMBA. I can browse the windows domain but they can't. They don't even see the domain. My smb.conf includes Domain master = Yes Preferred master = Yes Domain logons = Yes Does windows domain need to have a well working dns server? Cheers, Rafael

Is it possible to have a windows 2000 server in AD mode, with a samba server as a domain member, and have the roaming profiles and netlogon stuff all happen on the samba server? So: W2ksrv as ADC. PDC: Linux Client can't join the domain.

Printing to shared printer using a Mac (OSX)
I am using Mandrake 10 as a file and print server on for my home network. All of my PC clients can print successfully to the epson stylus c60 that I have attached to the printer. Can't see shares on a server member

nt can't map network drive
hi all, I have been troubled by this problem for a long time and really hope that someone may help by giving suggestions. I have setup Samba 2.0.5 on a "Digital" Tru64 as a file server. extremely slow network connection
Dear all, on a brand new DELL computer CentOS 5.1 installs well, but the internet connection is extremely slow (8 kB/s, indeed kiloBytes !). Did anyone find a solution to that problem ? Home drive mapping with samba as PDC.
Hi Could I request home help with logon drive mapping. I am able to join make a (win2k) PC join a domain with samba as pdc. I am able to logon but I DO NOT GET the HOME DRIVE. I am able to get to my file via network neighbourhood. ON the PC I HAVE an OPTION to MAP my HOME DRIVE, but I would like the home drive to appear as the "H:" drive in "My Computer" after I log in.
