Exchange 5.5 not seeing new Domain accounts - lsass.exe searching local SAM
Hi, First of all, The problem i am having is not directly related to Samba. So apologies, however there are a lot of people on this list who know a good deal about how windows (and related technologies) work so i'm hoping they can shed some light on the matter. Background : I successfully completed a migration from a Windows NT4 Domain to s Samba domain with LDAP backend about 2 months.

ActiveComputerName vs ComputerName
Hi! ComputerName and ActiveComputerName are values from registry (HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ComputerName\). If I use `wine regedit` to set ActiveComputerName to any value after a short time it becomes equal to the value of ComputerName. Can I set ActiveComputerName different than ComputerName? P.S. I have wine-1.3.13 and UseDnsComputerName=N.

Domain trust between Samba 3.5.9 and Windows 2008 Active Directory crashes lsass.exe which makes AD Domain Controller reboot
Hi Trying to set up a one way trust between a 2008 Active Directory domain and a Samba 3.5.9 server which is configured as a PDC. There is already an existing trust between AD and an NT4 domain so AD has been configured to support NTLM authentication (see below for full details). With no domain trust, using smbclient either anonymously or with a valid user on the DC (e.g. Administrator)

[help] Can't Join Samba 2.2.3a to TNG+LDAP
I need to join my Samba 2.2.3a to a TNG Domain (which stores users and machines account into OpenLDAP) using it as a password server. Provided that TNG is working fine in authenticating users on W2K machines, once they are logged in they should (in my intentions) see Samba 2.2.3a shares. In order to do this I provided the following configuration for Samba: workstation = <tng_domain>

strange issue with xerox printer: unable to configure driver
Hello list. I've a strange issue with a samba 3.4.3 print server. Everything is fine with most printers, meaning drivers are assigned on server side and automatically distributed to the clients as expected. However, I fail to configure a Xerox document center 7435 the same way. When I attempt to assign a driver to the printer, from a windows client with admin privileges, I get an
