windows 98 logon script
Hi all,
Hope some could help me out with my problem.
The following is part of my smb.conf.
logon drive = Q:
logon path = \\%L\profiles\%U
logon home = \\%L\%U
logon script = scripts/%g.bat
I have a <groupname>.bat file for each group and that basically maps each
users home directory and a common directory of that group. Bellow is a
script for group ma and name of the script is ma.bat.

Re-How to enable domain logon from NT workstation
Hi,
This is really a follow on from Sandie's (shui@pointsnoth.com)
problem of using samba to act as a domain logon server for NT
Workstation 4.
I have tried using samba2alpha8 (on Linux 2.0) and have failed to
get the domain logon working from NT Workstation although Windows98
worked fine. I followed the instructions in Samba NT Domain FAQ
apart from the use of encrypted passwords which

Printing problems from W2k/NT4
Hello,
I recently upgraded our file server from RedHat6.2 to RedHat7.2.
This upgraded our (working) Samba 2.0.x to 2.2.1a-4. Now, the windows98
machines on the network can print without problems. The 2K/NT4 machines
cannot print, but they experience no problems with file sharing operations
(writeable /home/$USER).
The 2K/NT4 machines had been printing fine prior to the upgrade. I won't

W2K and include=%U
Hi List,
sorry for reposting but we still have trouble with our environment.
The facts:
The current network consists of Windows98-clients and a linux-box
with samba 2.0.7 acting as a pdc.
In the smb.conf we use the entry:
include=smb.conf.%U
to achieve that every user gets his own, dedicated network neigh-
borhood. That way the user sees only that ressources that he's
allowed to access.

Network logon & slow connection issues
Hi:
I am running Samba 2.5 because SCO's skunkware version of 2.6 just would not
run. I am running SCO OpenServer 5.04, which I wish there was a smbclient so
that I could perform more adequate server side testing.
I am currently faced with three issues which I have not found solutions too.
1. I the log.user name I have found the users do connect to the server but
the log is full of the

I have the same bad password problem with my windows98 workstation.
I have spent quiet a bit of time analysing this problem but still could not find any resolution.

Fw: Session logging in Windows98?
Does anyone have a function such as tee() described below?
It would be nice not to have to go to Emacs and have to deal with yet
another editor.
