Roamin Profile problem / filedate issue
Guys, I've identified a problem "I think" Config: Samba 2.2.8a on Linux and Solaris WinXP SP1 and Win2kSP4 workstations We have a problem here, when logging out and using roaming profiles on a samba host take significantly longer than logging out when the profile is stored on a Win2k server. Looking closely I've discovered the following. On each logout, numerous files, that

Mac OS X Finder hangs when accessing Samba server
Hello, I'm hoping someone may be able to steer me in the right direction, as I've searched the archives with no joy. Configuration: Server: Fedora FC3, kernel 2.6.9-1.667, samba-3.0.13-1 Client: Mac OS X Panther 10.3.8 The Samba server works fine with a Windows 2000 client on the same LAN. With Panther I am seeing the connection drop during transfers and/or the Finder freezing

[PATCH server] quote freeipa password for special chars
I was unable to use a password with special characters in ovirt- installer. I tried with a parenthesis and a dollar sign. After editing the puppet manifest it worked as expected. I filed bugzilla #516294 about this. Hopefully this is all submitted correctly. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Name:

kerberos 5 support
Hi I'd also like to express interest in Simon's kerb 5 patches being integrated into the openssh distribution. Are there currently any plans for this to happen and if so, what's the expected time frame? Ben. adding in missing values in a sequence
Hi, I have a data frame with two columns of data, one an indexing column and the other a data column. My issue is, this data frame is incomplete and there are missing lines. I want to know how I can find and add data into these missing lines. See example below ## Example data data <- data.frame(index=c(1:4,6:10), data=c (1.5,4.3,5.6,6.7,7.1,12.5,14.5,16.8,3.4)) index data 1 1

Installing the Mac RGUI for OS X
Hello, Having installed R 2.3 for OS X Tiger 10.4.6(PPC), i tried running the new R.app, but it hangs (spinning beachball). Moreover, i can't install the RGUI from within the R-2.3 DMG, - it tells me i must have R 10.4 installed ! (I have 10.4.6) R 2.3 runs successfully from the command line however. I tried compiling from sources, but Xcode has this error(i.e it can't locate

Assessing the fit of a nonlinear model to a new dataset
Hi all, I am attempting to apply a nonlinear model developed using nls to a new dataset and assess the fit of that model. At the moment, I am using the fitted model from my fit dataset as the starting point for an nls fit for my test dataset (see below). I would like to be able to view the t-statistic and p-values for each of the iterations using the trace function, but have not yet worked out

ZFS, iSCSI + Mac OS X Tiger (globalSAN iSCSI)
I have set up an iSCSI ZFS target that seems to connect properly from the Microsoft Windows initiator in that I can see the volume in MMC Disk Management. When I shift over to Mac OS X Tiger with globalSAN iSCSI, I am able to set up the Targets with the target name shown by `iscsitadm list target` and when I actually connect or "Log On" I see that one connection exists on the Solaris

[RFC][PATCH 2/2] Btrfs: implement unlocked dio write
This idea is from ext4. By this patch, we can make the dio write parallel, and improve the performance. We needn''t worry about the race between dio write and truncate, because the truncate need wait untill all the dio write end. And we also needn''t worry about the race between dio write and punch hole, because we have extent lock to protect our operation. I ran fio to test the

netgroups patch for rsync 2.6.0
G'day, I figured some others might benefit from this patch. It allows you to use the samba style @netgroup names in hosts allow and hosts deny. I've tested it on solaris and linux with no apparent problems.. I'll get rid of the static string in a couple of days when I have to worry about trying to get this into prod .. but with any luck someone else may have done that for me.. :)

Questions on Active Record SQL type Finders & Dynamic Finder
Hi, I understand there are total 11 types of key Options for finding a record. The all 11 valid keys for the options hash are :conditions, :include, :order, :select, :group, :joins, :from, :limit, :offset, :readonly, and :lock. We also have Dynamic Finders for the same. e.g. ... find_by etc... I would like to know, how many types of dynamic finders, Active Record provides, to match all those
