tyring to save plots using windoze 7 and cygwin
Hi,
I'd been using R in the past and recently installed it on a new windoze 7 machine.
There have been many issues with compatibility and 32/64 bit apps etc and I did
find on google on isolated complaint that saveplot failed in scripts a long time ago.
R seems to work fine except script-based plot saving as pdf has not worked.
I have tried the following, none of which seem to function,

Couldn't drop privileges: User is missing UID (see mail_uid setting)
Hi all
I hope anyone could help me out with my problem regarding the user_id
settings.
I am running my mail servers just for fun and I am not a professional mail
admin. After I am using postfix and dovecot for my mail servers with a mysql
backend for the last 2 years I have tried to set up an installation with a
ldap backend.
I followed the how-to from the ?Postfix Book? and now I have

Vpopmail + Expire Plugin
Hi,
I've changed my running qmail/vpopmail/procmail/courier-imap/sqwebmail
installation to qmail/vpopmail/siege/dovecot/horde imp.
So far, I've got everything running. Authentification with vpopmail as
passdb is working, Mail delivery with siege into different Mail folders
is working as well.
One of the reasons why I switched to dovecot was the expire plugin and
right now I'm trying

kerberos issue (SPN not found) with windows Hyper-V (samba 4.5.3 AD)
Hello,
I've setup over 6 months ago samba 4 AD on centos 7.3 (self compiled
from source). Up until now I didn't encounter any undocumented errors. I
have 3 DC's (all samba 4.5.3) which are working pretty nice with over 60
windows clients.
The issue I've stumbled upon is when I added Windows server Hyper-V
hosts to the domain. Tried with Hyper-V from 2012, 2012r2 and new 2016

turning off prelinking?
In short, the reason considering (and still only considering) turning it off is
to make tripwire usable again (security vs. performance, I guess).
Is it possible to completely turn it off system-wide? Any additional steps
needed on the existing system (that already have half of the binaries
prelinked)?
What order of performance degradation to expect? If it is minor, nobody is
going to cry

specifying mount options in /etc/auto.master
I have this NFS client that used to be on Red Hat 7.3. For mounting user home
directories I used this line in /etc/auto.master file:
/home yp:auto.home rw,rsize=8192,wsize=8192
Moved the box to CentOS 4... The format of the file changed, so I attempted
something like this:
/home -rw,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 yp:auto.home
No habla. Doesn't work. The rsize and wsize options seems to be

grDevices::convertColor XYZ space is it really xyY?
grDevices::convertColor has arguments 'from' and 'to' which can take on value 'XYZ'. Can someone confirm that 'XYZ' is the same as the CIE chromaticity coordinates that are also sometimes refered to as 'xyY' in the literature? Or are these the CIE tristimulus values? It looks to me like the first case is true, but I would appreciate hearing from one of

Videoconferencing with speex and jabber
Speaking of video conferencing in conjunction with Speex, we are
currently beta testing a solution we developed that offers multi-point,
multi-party video and audio using the Speex engine for voice.
http://www.wiredred.com/downloads/ecsetup.exe
The fair and good audio settings are Speex narrowband, high quality is
HawkVoice and toll quality is PCM.

I knew as soon as I hit the enter key, the intelligence would feed my
brain. The answer to this is:

Easy Peasy....and why not? (there is a pun there if you can see it)
Thanks for listening.
