Unfortunately we are all to well aware of this problem, but as the long-
standing policy of samba.org lists is to allow public posting, we are
between a rock and a hard place.
This has

Okay, I'm sorry, but that's the dumbest idea yet. If they didn't have
Windows, why would they use Samba?

I disagree. Changing it will create accidental on-list traffic, which
inconveniences far more people. It's not like replying to the list is hard
now, if it's what you want to do. I'm stuck using

Phew, what does that mean? It's their "bootx64.efi".
Running "file" on it says it's an "MS-DOS executable".

syslinux version.

Samba takes some time to wake up...
Subject: Samba takes some time to wake up....
Hi folks,
We are using Samba-2.0. with RedHat 5.2 on a PII-350MHz
and RAID SCSI HD as a domain-logon-server. The clients
are Win 95 Pentium PCs connected by ethernet.
The problem is:
Samba takes a long time, i.e. 1 min, to let
the first user log on in the morning.
After that the response times are reasonable.

disabling php-cli
Hi All,
Don't know if this has been covered already, but I'd like to know if
there's a way to disable one of the features in php; php-cli. I've done
some googling and searching through the archives but haven't found
anything. The php manpage doesn't mentioned anything, nor have I seen
anything on the php site in regards to this. (hoping it's not something

Wine-20040505 and vstserver
Hi list,
I'm currently trying to get an app running called "vstserver" on Fedora
Core 3.
I have installed wine-20040505 and wine-devel-20040505, and installed those
older versions, cause it is recommended not to use the newest wine version
in the README. I have found that most vstserver-users had good experiences
with version 20040505 of wine. I have tried others too, i always get

But that gives

Secure boot is disabled.
Thoughts?
The reason why it would be nice using PXE and syslinux here is because

newest release. Didn't see anything helpful in the referenced appendix
bugs of the Samba HOWTO collection. An attempted smbd -d10 yielded a

Samba 3.0 pre 17, character set
Hi!
I have searched the net, but I finally didn't find an answer. I have a Samba
TNG installation here, with some problems, and I would really like to
replace it with 3.0 now (2.2 is missing some important functionality I need, so I
would like to try the "unstable" 3.0).
I compiled and installed, it works fine as pdc, but I don't get some

BgDRb blocking in ActiveRecord
Hi Folks,
I''ve got a tiny little problem using MySQL-backed ActiveRecord in my
worker class. Sometimes it just blocks infinitely when I try to
access it. I don''t know whether it is in AR itself or in the SQL
driver. It just stops doing anything, logging nothing, no exceptions
are raised. I don''t know if it matters that I call the worker''s

Hi,
I am new to R so forgive me if the following query is somewhat simple. I have a small tab-separated file with n records of glucose values, one record per day, seven measurements per day. It looks like this:

20091229 NA 6.8 NA 2.7 11.7 2.7 6.2
I'd like to make a graph on which the glucose day curves are plotted

However I think it depends on other commits as I get an undefiend symbol
when applying jsut this commit to 0.6.0 release, so I guess you'll need
to cherry pick several commits to get this working (or just run the git
vversion!). I'm currently too drunk to work out what's needed so you're
on your own until I sober up or someone else points out more details :p
