similar to: BDC, documentation, Machine Accounts Keep Expiring

Hello! I configured samba BDC according to howto. PDC is in the same subnet. But I see that windows ( at least 2003 servers from the same subnet) sometimes connects to BDC to retrieve info about users. Now I use smbpasswd and machine accounts are in passwd. I'm afraid that will try to change their password too ;-) Could somebody explain me why windows behavoir?

Hi, I was wondering if a Samba BDC should be able to create users and computer accounts when connecting to a LDAP PDC server? Should the add scripT lines be included in a BDC's smb.conf file? Normally, as far I know, BDC should just log on users. Or am I wrong? Thanks,

I am setting up a SuSe Linux Enterprise 8 server with samba ldap. SuSe comes with samba 2.*.* rpm. I need to reconfigure samba to add --with-ldapsam, so I need to remake the rpm, but i don't know where the samba.spec file is in SuSe. We tried to move Windows 2003 VM with e1000 driver from Centos 7 which runs qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.491.el6_8.7.x86_64 to Centos 7 with qemu-kvm-ev-2.6.0-28.el7_3.6.1.x86_64 and we got problems- tcp sessions, namely smb connections, randomly drops.
