I currently have samba version 3.0.23 installed using ldap as the backend. I am experiencing the same problems as Holger Wesser mentioned in his posting "USRMGR.exe not working properly". However, it appears that the fix of creating the group mappings does not work. They appear to be mapped correctly on my setup. My net groupmap list is: Domain Admins

I have been using an old version of OpenLDAP on my Samba servers. I am setting up a new server and want to use a more recent version. What versions of OpenLDAP are people on the forum using with Samba?

Hello pine 4.64 on CentOS 5 I have successfully compiled 4.64 with SSL and it works fine. However, I like to add LDAP feature. I am having trouble with compiling it with LDAP. I built the latest stable openldap-2.3.38 I did include this when I built openldap: ./configure --with-cyrus-sasl Compile process gives me these errors below. Any clue as what I may be doing wrong? I'm trying to install "pam_ldap" on my fedora core 1 machine. It is asking for liblber.so and libldap.so dependencies even though I have them in /usr/lib. Should I just go install it with out a dependencies? what is wrong with this picture?
