winbind doesn't work with 3.0.10 NT_STATUS_PIPE_NOT_AVAILABLE
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Upgrading from 3.0.2a to 3.0.10 gives us a version of samba that joins the domain
properly (2000 mixed mode, type ADS), and will list the users, but the following
message is repeated over and over in /var/log/samba/log.winbindd:

Downgrading to 3.0.2 fixes this.

Problem with disk space.
Hi!
I'm using samba 3.0.10 on a server with Mandrake kernel

The only problem I have, is when I log off from my windows client. I get

winbind problems
Hello,
Does anyone know if there are issues using winbind 3.0.14a to
communicate with a 2.2.3a samba build?
I've setup winbind using all the documentation on the site but all I get

AD group permissions on unix group
Hello,
We have some computers from a lab that the operating system is ubuntu and
are in the domain.
I need the "alunos" group to have permissions in the tty and dialout group,
since they need to use some arduinos.
I have tried the following:

Multiple Trash patch for DSPAM plugin
Hello all,
First of all my respects to Johannes for the nice dspam plugin he created.
Unfortunatly i got stuck with a problem in that same plugin since it
didn't allow the use of more than one Trash folder. That can be an issue
if you have a wide variety of clients working in a wide variety of
languages. Not all use the english "Trash" for that folder.

testing LDAP connections
Hello all,
I haven't looked into the source code, but i suspect that LDAP
connections, once established, are not tested properly.
My scenario is the followind:
Dovecot server <--------> firewall <---------> LDAP backend
What happens is that the firewall has a security feature which
basically make de firewall box "forget" about connections that are idle

Dovecot as IMAP proxy to Exchange
Hello list,
I'm looking into the possibility to setup dovecot to act as an IMAP
proxy to an Exchange server.
Things i know beforehand:
- I will not be able to use the ldap (Active Directory) user DN for auth
binds (but i discovered that i could could use the user
userPrincipalName attribute as bind DN. I tested it using ldapsearch and
it worked fine.)
- I will not be able to perform any

AD attibutes of the (in this case) member servers differences.
Hai,
Im setting up a new proxy with winbind en kerberos auth.
So far everything ok but now im setting up my nfsv4 (with automount with systemd) for my user login on that server.
For the new setup i compaired my old proxy with my new proxy.
I noticed the old proxy is missing some attibutes in the AD object.
For example,
Samba member1 ( installed as 4.3.x ) upgraded to 4.5.3 here

Hello all, and Johannes if you're around,
I was trying to set up the "new" antispam plugin with the mailtrain

error 100 from the /var/qmail/bin/sendmail binary. To try to figure out
what was happening, i mean a fake sendmail program,

login_* options for 1.0.15
Hello all,
Although i'm aware that version 1.0.15 is rather old, that's what is
used in Lenny, so...
Either way, the setup is rather simple, regular dovecot install, with
maildirs residing on a "local" ext3 filesystem accessed through FC to a
SAN (2Gbps link). The server has 2 cores (with HT), so "almost" 4 cores
and 3GB of ram.
A couple weeks ago we had a major

Roaming profiles problem
Hi,
I've a samba server set up with a ldap backend an I'v configured it to use
roaming profiles (ie: logon path = \\%L\%U\profile), the users homes are
exported by nfs to the server.
My problem is that the profile of the user always end up in C:/Documents and
Settings/$user .
I've already erased the local profile and the profile directory in the users
home dir, but every time that
