Inefficient Winbind behavior?
Hello all, I'm having an issue with Winbind and I'm not sure if it's occurring by design or not. My Samba server resides in a Windows NT domain and uses winbindd to authenticate to a mixed-mode 2003 domain over a trust relationship. Everything works the way it ought to. However, every so often my users experience delays of anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds when connecting to a share,

BugetTone Bug Showstopper,
I have setup Grandstream to connect to my Asterisk Server. All the digits 0-9 are accepting dtmf. But When I try to send the call by Pressing # Key, nothing happens. Does anyone has a standard configuration for Asterisk and Grandstream as a PDF file or something to see. How do you send the connect signal? Please assist with Winbind issues!
Hello, I've been trying for a couple of weeks now to get Samba to authenticate via Winbind to an NT domain. I've scoured Google and the mailing lists to no avail. I've tried various configurations that I've found during my searches, but none of them have worked for me. I need to be able to authenticate users, that do not have an account on the Linux box, against the NT domain,

Fwd: Winbind Preauthentication failed
Hi guys! I started to have the problem above last October, 2th. I donĀ“t know why and how, because it was saturday. So, my file server stoped to authenticate against the Samba4 AD. Today, all shares was stopped and then i restarted my Samba4 AD and the file server. All became to work again. But it im afraid because the problem started by itself. SVG showstopper
We seem unable to get SVG running under Rails with apparent memory conflicts between the SVG xml object and parameters. For us, unless we can get SVG running okay under Rails, it is a showstopper for us to use Rails. There seem to be only 2 examples out there for SVG, the graph project that actually converts SVG to another image format (way too cumbersome/unworkable for our needs) and the

Thanks for the response, Jerry. Is there a way for me to verify this is happening? Winbindd has been running for a few days now, and I just did a netstat and the only connections to a DC are to the off-site one, the PDC. Thanks. tclarray with embedded spaces in data
I would like to use a tclArray: mytkarray <- tclArray() as the variable for a table: table1 <- tkwidget(f1, 'table', variable= mytkarray) but if I include character strings with embedded spaces, I get braces appearing in the table. I can remove them using a non-R tclarray, (the difference between the first example of http://www.sciviews.org/_rgui/tcltk/Tktable.html and

Samba 2.2.3a SHOWSTOPPER!
I have a *big* problem with Access 2000 running on a Windows 2000-SP2 PC on 2.2.3a. The error: "Visual Basic for Applications Project in This Database is Corrupt" I have a log level 10 of the 2.2.3a samba for that machine. Then, I returned to 2.2.2 and did the same thing (log level 10). No error! When I go back to 2.2.3a, I can create the problem over and over again. Who wants

[LLVMdev] Showstopper on Visual C
struct X86AsmPrinter is in an anonymous namespace, but printInstruction is declared in namespace llvm. try editing the tablegen output to move X86AsmPrinter::printInstruction into an anonymous namespace, not llvm. I suspect this will at least fix the first problem. Then we can figure out the proper longterm fix. Andrew On Tue, 2004-10-12 at 03:56, Paolo Invernizzi wrote: > Hi all, >

round giving different results on Windows and Mac
Dear all, I have been running some tests of my package RSiena on different platforms and trying to reconcile the results. With Mac, the commands options(digits=4) round(1.81652, digits=4) print 1.817 With Windows, the same commands print 1.816 I am not bothered which answer I get, but it would be nice if they were the same. A linux box agreed with the Mac. Mac sessionInfo(): R version

Showstopper problem: Winbindd no longer starting
Hi, I'm running a samba CTDB setup using default Centos 7.2 repos, fully up-to-date. This is in pre-production so this is quite a nasty problem. Everything was running fine, including after a package update 1-2 days ago. However, this morning I can't get winbind started, CTDB times it out. I've taken the clustering=yes line out of smb.conf, and run winbind at dedug level from the

lib90_cmusieve_plugin.so: undefined symbol: message_decoder_init
After upgrading our CentOS 5 box to the latest revisions last week (including Dovecot 1.1), we're seeing the following error message in the log files. Sieve was working fine with Dovecot 1.0. I have yet to turn up anything via Google for this particular error. SELinux is not logging any error messages at the moment, so I'm pretty sure that we've properly allowed all the SELinux

survival analysis: plot.survfit
Hello everybody, does anybody know how the function plot.survfit exactly works? I'd like to plot the log of the cummulative hazard against the log time by using plot.survfit(...fun="cloglog") which does not work correctly. The scales are wrong and there is an error message about infinit numbers. It must have something to do with the censored data, doesn't it? #Example:

Questions concerning survival analysis
Good morning everyone (or maybe good evening) Is there a counterpart to the s-plus function "probplot" (which provides a qq-plot for "survreg"-objects)? Or do exist other (rather simple) possibilities to check the assumptions of the distribution? I have another question to the author(s) of summary.survreg: Why does summary(...,times=sort(x)) not give the same result as

nmbd failure on Solaris 2.4
Hi, I expect this is a FAQ, but I can't find the answer and it's driving me mad... I have an old Sun SPARCstation1+ running Solaris 2.4 and Samba 1.9.18p10. It's configured to use plain text passwords, and to act as a domain master browser (there are no NT servers in the workgroup). The workgroup spans several subnets; Samba is set up as a WINS server, and the clients (WinNT and
