Compile Samba for Windows Use - SMBClient.exe mainly
I just wanted to give everyone a update. I was able to compile the smbclient.exe file successfully using Samba 3.6.25. Compiling the entire suite fails but all I was after was the client. I referenced back to an old post here https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2007-September/055557.html that had instructions on compiling on Windows. Used it as a rough guide. Long story short:

Using NT to browse Samba shares
I'm wondering if it is possible in any way to allow guest browsing of Samba shares from an Nt workstation. This subject seems to be covered in Recent-FAQs.txt: ->> start the explorer on a win-nt workstation and select network. summary of the effects after logistic regression model
Dear all, my aim is to estimate the efficacy over time of a treatment for headache prevention. Data consist of long sequences of repeated binary outcomes (1 if the subject has at least 1 episode of headache , 0 otherwise) on subjects randomized to placebo or treatment. I have fit a logistic regression model with Huber-White cluster sandwich covariance estimator. I have put in the model the

Compile Samba for Windows Use - SMBClient.exe mainly
The user for the site, and conversely php, is running as a application pool in IIS specifically for the site and as such only exists on that box. The nice thing about using the samba client, if I can get it to work, is you can pass through the user credentials of the logged-in user. So security-wise it's a lot easier to maintain as users would have access to the same things they already do on

[LLVMdev] VMkit AOT build problem: llc crushed on glibj compilation to native(.s) file
Well, I think there is a bug in vmkit for always trying to do pointer arithmetic using i32 instead of the target's pointer size, which is what my patch addressed. As for whether there is a bug in LLVM, I'm not sure. I've played around with it some more, and it looks like zext expressions get constant folded before reaching LowerConstant. The only way I've triggered the

Trouble with mChoice() in the Hmisc package.
Hi All:-- I've started using the the Hmisc reporting facilities recently, mostly successfully. I'm having some trouble with mChoice() multiple-choice objects, though. Here's some example code and output from R-help a couple of years ago: library(Hmisc) Symptom1 <- c("Headache", "Headache", NA) Symptom2 <- c(NA, "Anxiety", NA) Symptoms <-

XP Home Domain Login Workaround
Hello, I administer a small office. As is common, we have samba acting as Domain controller and I have a 'logon script' configured in smb.conf. The logon script does not do much: map the P: (public) and H: (home) drives, as well as setting the time. This is done through net commands, and is all very familiar to readers of this list. The new laptop arrived from Dell, and it's XP Home.

[LLVMdev] VMkit AOT build problem: llc crushed on glibj compilation to native(.s) file
Hi Allan, Thanks for the fix! So is this a bug in LLVM? Can you reduce that to a small test case and file a bug? MP3 MetaData in WMP and RealOne
Did you really see meta-data? Or did it show data from the playlist- file? Or did you see the data (name and genre) provided in the http- header upon connect? E.g.: http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast- playlist.pls?rn=4219&file=filename.pls Shows "CLUB 977 The 80s Channel (HIGH BANDWIDTH)" in WinAmp. But this is due to the "title" set in the .pls and/or provided in

WWDC Puppeteer lunch
Reminder for Mac Puppeteers going to WWDC How about we meet for lunch at noon on Tuesday. Let''s try to get the table closet to the Odwalla refrigerator, just for reference. We can get more specific on this list on the 8th after we verify the set up. I might even get there a little earlier and put down "reserved" tags. --- Thank you, Allan Marcus Solutions Architect Central

Fwd: Recall function: "evaluation nested too deeply: infinite recursion / options(expressions=)?"
hello all i searched the archives and couldn't get a solution to the following question. i have the following function: F=function(z,v) { if (v==-.5) return(1) else return(2*v/z + 1/Recall(z,v-1)) } and while testing whether it works (ie F(z,v) is approx = besselK(z,1+v)/besselK(z,V). the recursion formula allows one to calculate besselK(z,1+v)/besselK(z,V) for large values of z )
