Hi I set up a samba 4.1.4 server on the latest FreeBSD RELEASE 10. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to consider the option force group. After hours ofresearch I couldn't figure out what I'm still missing. unix extensions is set to no. Setting the debug level up to 10 also didn't help ;( Is this a bug or is there simply a mistake in my setup? When *valid users = @Groupname* is

SIP phone registering problem
I am clearly doing something ridiculously wrong. Running Asterisk 0.7.2 on FreeBSD 5.1, I have SIP soft phones which are unable to register. They keep trying and then time out. With the sip debug on in Asterisk nothing is logged. Here is the trace from one of the phones (kphone): (192.168.100.13 is kphone, 192.168.100.3 is Asterisk) sipclient: sending: 21:47:45.454

Adding an AD group to /etc/sudoers?
"id" alone does not show my user in the it group "id username" does why would id alone give different results? which is odd because as my username I can get into a folder that has 0760 permissions with user as root and it as the group as for %it ALL=(ALL) ALL instead of: %it ALL=(ALL:ALL) ALL seems to work the same On Tue, Dec 8, 2015 at 1:29 PM, Mattias Zhabinskiy <

Problems after PC is joined to the domain - Samba 4

Adding an AD group to /etc/sudoers?
# cat /proc/sys/kernel/ngroups_max 65536 # sysctl kernel.ngroups_max kernel.ngroups_max = 65536 Is there a way to change/look at AUTH_SYS? Seems I have 28 groups now as my user I tried created a test user with much less groups but it turns out it is on all those other groups. As such I tried winbind nested groups=no but this doesn't seem to change anything. On Tue, Dec 8, 2015 at 5:05

kerberos + winbind + AD authentication for samba 4 domain member
Hello, I'm setting up AD user logins for centos 7.4 box. I've almost managed to do everything the way I want and the way I think it should be, but I'm missing last piece:   For ssh access I read parts of the https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/OpenSSH_Single_sign-on Most docs recommend using setting in smb.conf: winbind use default domain = no that means that all domain users have

Samba/winbind with Active Directory auth
Hi List, I'm installing a Samba server with the intended purpose of serving files to Windows users with seamless authentication on the smb server. For that, I've been reading and following every single google search result regarding the subject, but it seems I'm stuck at some point where other people are not blocked ... To summarize, I have these commands OK: # kinit admin_user at

Taking determinant of a matrix of NAs results in intermittent memory corruption
Greetings; I've posted the following to R's bug tracking system (at https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17210 ) and Martin Maechler requested that I post to this list as well. If I start R from the command line with --vanilla, then repeatedly execute the following line: det(matrix(nrow=10,ncol=10)) ... I eventually get a crash, with error: *** Error in
