extracting Pr>ltl from robcov/ols (Design)
I am trying to extract significance levels out of a robcov+ols call. For background: I am analysing data where multiple measurements(2 per topic) were taken from individuals(36) on their emotional reaction (dependent variable) to various topics (3 topics). Because I have several emotions and a rotation to do on the topics, I'd like to have the results pumped into a nice table.

Gameguard ruins wine?
A little quote from the official cabal forums: > Playing Cabal on linux is impossible thanks to gameguard, WINE (or Cedega) cannot correctly emulate the environment needed for gameguard to run which causes Cabal to exit with an error. You should check the WINE (and Cedega) websites for other people views/experiences trying to run any gameguard protected game on linux, none of them work. >

Dropping etheora decoding support for overlapping with oggplay?
Hey, Commenting a SoC application about improvement of Etheora, Conrad Parker said the development should focus first on the encoding features since liboggplay is overlapping with Etheora. I'm transcripting the here so the Etheora's priorities can be better discussed by everyone (and searchable on the web). _____ Conrad, you mean concentrating first on encoding part, or pehaps

Depends, Suggests and .First.lib
Dear all, I am working in the development of a package with more or less 25 functions. Most of them do not have dependencies on other extra packages. However, I am including three GUIs for the most important functions of the package. These three GUIs need the gWidgets package. Moreover, there is another function which makes use of latticeExtra and latticedl. Since these three packages are not

Cisco vs Asterisk
Hello all, A client of us, is thinking to migrate their actual PBX to a Cisco CallManager. We want to sell him an asterisk box to complement the Cisco PBX. I think to use asterisk as a Voicemail server (Replazing the Cisco Unity) Has asterisk all the functionalities to replace a CIsco Unity server? Which functionalities Cisco Unity has than asterisk could cover? How could asterisk complement the

Joining a samba domain on WinXP without a root login?
I've been able to succesfully join XP boxes to the samba domain on samba 2.2.3a (yes, I know it's old), registering the machine name and so forth, as many guides and so forth have shown online. However, it requires entering root's smbpasswd when joining the domain -- and I'd rather not have a Windows machine with any sort of remotely related root access to our servers,

OT: Some examples about using auditd
Hi all, I need to do some tests about auditd funcionalities on two CentOS5.5 hosts. I need to audit when user executes sudo command, when system files are modified, when some process call to some system calls, when kernel semaphores are modified, etc. I see some examples on /usr/shae/doc/audit-x.x.x, but I will know if someone has more complet audit.rules. Can somebody share some

CentOs 4.X and APF firewall issues
Hi, We have 7 Dell 2850 servers with dual xeon 3 gig processors running the APF firewall version 0.9.6 http://rfxnetworks.com/apf.php They run fine for a day or two, then suddenly lock out all incoming connections, other than the backend IP, sometimes restarting the firewall resolves this, but occasionally we may have to leave it 10 mins or so before restarting where it will actually

File locks when restarting smb
Hi, Is there a known problem with file locks when Samba restarts? I have several servers happily running Samba on RH Linux, and several hundred clients running M$ Win9x. There are always a large number of open files, and I am currently migrating the data off several NT servers and onto the Samba ones. This has meant changing the smb.conf file on a regular basis. I am restarting Samba using

Simple Samba PDC - tdbsam limitations?
Hi, I'm setting up a new Samba server, and am debating between LDAP (complex, and I'm not that familiar with it) and tdbsam for the password backend... I understand the physical limitations (single PDC, no replication, etc), which is fine, since this is a small office - about 50 workstations, possibly growing to as many as 75, but no more than that. What are the limitations of the

smbmount limitations
Hello, I am trying to use smbmount to mount a Samba share that is larger than 2 TB. However, the amount of disk space that is displayed from the "df -k" command for the mounted share is only 2 TB, and when I try to access the share, my terminal session hangs. Is there a limitation on the size of the share that can be mounted? Thanks, Daryl Ashley Institute for Advanded

Pxelinux 2.09 limitations
Hi all, I've just found a small bug this morning. My pxelinux.cfg contains 65 entries. The last one is never usable by pxelinux.0. It sounds like the number of entries is managed on 6 bits :) Is there a reason for that ? Is it possible to have a bugfix for that ? PCI passthru limitations?
Are there limitations on the number of devices that can be assigned to each DomU? If I assign more than 2 devices to a Windows domain, one of them doesn''t work. Thanks (sorry if it''s a duplicate, I didn''t see the previous copy coming out) -e _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

cgroups limitations on Virtual machines
I have 2 VMs launched by : 'virsh create <xml file>' . Both VMs get 2 vcpus (out of total 2 cores of the host) I then try bias their cpu cycle quota by manipulating the cpu_shares ( virsh schedinfo --set cpu_shares=<value> vm1/2 ) so that VM1 will get 3 times the cpu cycles VM2 gets. (e.g : VM1 cpu_shares = 150 . VM2 cpu_shares = 50) . There are no other VMs defined or
