Freezes at "debug: file_metadata supports formats:"
Hi. I have a client and server running Puppet 2.7.1 from GEMS
(though the same problem occurs using the Ubuntu Lucid standard
packages). I try to update the client against the server, and it
freezes at this line:
debug: file_metadata supports formats: b64_zlib_yaml marshal pson
raw yaml; using pson
Any idea what would cause that? I''m afraid I didn''t recognize any

build of 2.5.6 on AIX 4.3.3
Hi,
i was using rsync 2.4.5 for AIX 4.3 binary downloaded from
http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/binaries/AIX/ .
I now compiled the latest 2.5.6 on AIX 4.3.3 and created a tarball to use like
the one available from http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/binaries/AIX/ .
root@b50srv1:/usr/local/src# uname -a

FW: Samba 3.0.11 on AIX 4.3
Eh ... will someone kindly take a look at this? I have "reduced"
the mail since it wasn't answered at all since I sent it in a
couple of days ago. Thanks.
Hi All,
Pls has anyone successfully installed Samba 3 on an AIX 4.3 (RS6000)
system?
The only precompiled binary I was able to find - v 3.0.4 from
bullfreeware.com
did not work after installation. I haven't been

Possible bug: Putty's psftp doesn't work when priv-sep is turned on
Hi List(s)
A customer of mine reported that sftp didn't work for them. It seems to
work just fine for me on that system, and after checking into it I
noticed that the customer used psftp, while I use sftp from either
cygwin or the linux version from openssh.
The openssh version of sftp works in all cases, priv-sep on or off.
However, the putty psftp breaks as soon as I turn on priv-sep

***SPAM*** Re: Configure Samba with non-standard OpenLDAPlocation
Try the configure format below:
LDFLAGS='-L/usr/local/openldap/lib'
CPPFLAGS='-I/usr/local/openldap/include' ./configure
--prefix=/usr/local/samba-3.0.12pre1 --with-ldap --with-ads
--with-winbind --with-krb5=/usr/local/krb5-1.3.5
--with-libiconv=/usr/local/libiconv-1.9.1
That's from my own compile. Change the LDFLAGS as applicable.

Samba 3.0.11 on AIX 4.3
Hi All,

trying to install it from source. I have downloaded various requisite
programs such as kerberos (which won't compile either) and openldap.

Samba configure script not finding ldap libs
Hey All,
I'm trying to compile Samba 3.0.12rc1 on a Redhat Linux Fedora Core 3

openldap-clients-2.2.13-2
openldap-devel-2.2.13-2
openldap-servers-2.2.13-2

I run configure in the following fashion:

Not receiving Local Mails
Hi,
I have already set up DOVECOT + POSTFIX mail server and I can send and receive mails outside my Domain. The problem however is that LOCAL Mail is not working. When I send LOCAL mails, it leaves my system without error messages but it is not received by the recipient.
How do I make LOCAL mails work?
Regards
Alexander
