Samba 3.0.0 Beta 3: "krb5_cc_get_principal failed" but "Join to realm" successful?
Hiya, as I was not capable of getting only close to join the RC1 of Samba 3.0 to my ADS realm, I downgraded to the Redhat 9.0 rpm version of Samba 3.0 Beta 3 from download.samba.org. With this package I get a lot closer to a "working solution". Anyway, Kerberos is not working as supposed during the "net ads join" process which should leave a bunch of Kerberos credentials in

Samba 3.0 beta 3 issues
Hi there, I'm using Samba 3.0 beta 3 on RH 9 (connecting to a Windows 2000 domain, as a member server) and I'm having trouble keeping samba running reliably. At random times it seems to stop recognising names from the domain. Restarting winbind fixes the problem, but then it occurs randomly again, usually once or twice a day. At least once it has fixed itself after being broken overnight

Samba3.0.1pre1 winbind failing against domain groups(ADS)
Winbindd is having trouble finding the Domain Admins group in my domain. It appears to be searching for the group but does not show what domain it's looking into - then it tries the local PC (ANC-Gentoo): log.winbind: [2004/01/07 13:20:43, 3] nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:winbindd_getgrnam(237) [23792]: getgrnam Domain Admins [2004/01/07 13:20:43, 5] nsswitch/winbindd_acct.c:wb_getgrnam(522)

Comparing two groups of proportions
Hi, I have a seemingly common problem but I can't find a proper way to approach it. Let's say we have 5 samples (different size) of IC circuits coming from 5 production lines (A, B, C, D, E). We apply two different non-destructive QA procedures to each sample, producing to sets of binary outcomes (passed: no/yes). So, we have two groups of proportions: QA1 QA2 no/yes no/yes A

Samba in 2003 ADS
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening. I'm a bit dejected at the moment as all my googleing / howto reading has brought me no joy, Apparently there are people out there who have successfully set up Samba as member server in M$ 2003 ADS. However I have miserably failed / given up. What I want to do is have my people print to a PDF printer on Linux using cups after which they will be emailed the

Hi try str(varcompobject) to see structure of this object. You can extract parts by standard R means. winbindd using FQDN domain name now?
As of RC3 and RC4, I've noticed that winbindd's wb_getpwuid function is using the form <FQDN-domain><winbind-seperator><username>, and before, it was simply <NetBIOS-domain><winbind-seperator><username>. The net effect of what I'm seeing is that users which have a UNIX account locally on the samba box and also a domain account are being

network problems
So, I have been running into network problems for a while on 4 boxes that I installed xen on so that some engineers have places to test code. This particular problem is happening on all 4 of these boxes. (although, it isn''t happening on an older box running xen from debian etch). What appears to be the problem is that traffic is getting dropped between the vif#.0 interface in dom0
