dfs problems addressed in 3.0.25b?
Is the issue below addressed in 3.0.25b? (no freebsd port available yet
so I'm still at 3.0.25a)
I can't see anything specifically about this in the release notes.
I just want to add that I've also seen this behaviour on a windows xp
x64 client.
It's a pretty serious problem.. so I'm also thinking I may have to
revert to an earlier version if it doesn't look like a

dfs problems in 3.0.25a after client reboot and remapping
Hi guys, I haven't seen any replies to this, but im seeing the exact same
thing with Fedora 7 samba (with all the currently available patches).
using winbind into a an ADS realm.
My samba is 3.0.25b.
Clients are XP, 2003 r2 SE and EE 32bit, 2003 r2 SE 64 bit. All work ok
for a while, then suddenly start doing the same as below.
I.e., when mapped it looks fine, then some time in the future

Cleanup permission settings / traverse folder
Hello,
I have problems removing the permission settings on a directory/folder after configuration of a share.
My folders look like:
/var/folder1/folder2/
I created share1 on folder1 and share2 on folder2.
Afterwards, I activated ACLs and set permission on folder1 to domain/group1 and on folder2 to domain/group2.
I couldn't access share2 with a user from group2 and I figured out that Samba

samba3.0.25b group permissions problem via AD+Winbind
Hi Samba people,
I'm having a strange problem with Samba 3.0.25b running on solaris 9
with native ADS and Winbind.
A domain user (no /etc/passwd entry), jlunch, can write to directories
via the unix shell that has
group permissions he is part of without any issues.
However, doing the same via a samba share (share1) in the same folder
(folder1), returns permission denied.
It almost appears

Dear Everybody:
I have Fedora Core 2 and R-1.9.0 does not build "out of the box". After
applying the daily patch file R-release.diff, I find it does build and
I've made RPMS and SRPM.
In case you want to save yourself a recompile, you can find Fedora Core
RPMs in here:

Samba-to-Samba connection problems
Hey list,
I'm still having some issues getting 2 Fedora machines running Samba 3.0.7 to stay connected for any length of time. My setup looks like
this: 1 of the systems is set up as a Samba Server as the main fileserver. I have some Windows XP machines connecting to it just fine, nice
and fast. However, I also have some FC2 systems that connect to it using the smbfs filesystem, and while

R 1.90 make problem with /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xutil.h on suse linux 9.1?
This is probably a Suse specific problem and not a bug in R, but I'm
reporting it in case it's useful for someone to know about....
Trying to compile R1.9.0 from source on a standard Suse 9.1 install
(athlon in a shuttle sn41g2).
configure seems fine but the Suse X11R6 Xlib.h might be toxic.
In case it helps, here's the sad end to the make output. I can post the
Xlib.h if that

please help me using rsync efficiently
Hi,
I need a small information on the way rsync copies the files .
I am writing the files , links to a list file and I am passing the list
file to rsync for copying to remote machine.
The contents of the list file (passed to rsync for synchronisation) are

fix and edit don't work: unable to open X Input Method->segfault
I can't run fix() or edit() anymore. Did I break my system?
I'm running Debian Linux with R-2.14.1. As far as I can tell, the R
packages came from Debian's testing "wheezy" repository. I would like
to know if users on other types of systems see the same problem. If
no, then, obviously, it is a Debian-only issue and I can approach it
from that point of view. And if no other

Hi all,
I am not able to mount samba shares after upgrading CentOS 7.5 to 7.6. I
have been searching and trying to configure samba and winbind but no
success. I find a lot of manuals and help pages about setting samba and
winbind for machine acting as AD DC member but
