How to convert numbers to words?
I am trying to convert numbers to English words, e.g. 123 -> One
hundred twenty three. After some searching, I have been unable to
find any info on this. I could certainly write code to do it, but my
question is this: Does anyone know of a function that does this?
Thanks,

Can't see my Samba server into the A.D. Domain
Samba server: SUN/Solaris 8
Samba version 3.0.10
Domain: Active Directory with a W2K PDC
My Samba server is a Domain Member Server, connected to the Active Directory
Domain with the "net rpc join" unix command.
All the MS-Windows SMB client from the Domain can connect an use, without
any problem, the shares of the Samba server.
When I use, on an MS-Windows client or the PDC, the

security of ntlmauth / winbindd_privileged dir
I have a working setup with samba & squid on one machine. However it
seems that ntlm_auth is not doing what I expected.
As an unprivilegd user I am able to test succesfull password:
ute at alix:~$ ntlm_auth -V
Version 3.5.6
ute at alix:~$ ntlm_auth --username=hans --password=keins
NT_STATUS_OK: Success (0x0)
Surely I know this password.

Signal 11 on domain join (Debian 10 Samba 4.9.5+dfsg-5+deb10u1)
I wanted to do a little playtesting with Samba as a domain controller.
I spun up a Debian 10 box, installed Samba (package 4.9.5+dfsg-5+deb10u1) ,
and attempted to join it to the domain. It crashed horribly. ;)
Unfortunately their domain ends in ".local". There's nothing I can do
about it at the moment. But I do remove multicast DNS from nsswitch to
prevent it from attempting to

Winbindd_privileged permissions pb on RHEL 4 AS
Hi,
I've got an unbelievable problem : I'm trying to setup samba on RHEL 4 AS
PPC(iSeries) to work with a Win2K domain controler.
I use the same smb.conf file (and the same configuration procedure) on a
Fedora 3 box too. I have no problem with the Fedora server, but on the
RHEL 4 server, Windows clients are unable to browse the server and I've

winbindd_pam_auth_crap: invalid password length
Hi,
I am using squid+ntlm-helper+samba+winbindd.
Squid mailing list told me to try this one.
When using the setting "Send NTLMv2 Response only" on my windows VISTA
machines I get this error message in my logs.
winbindd_pam_auth_crap: invalid password length.
As soon as I change the setting to "Send NTLMv2 if negotiated" it works.

Call does not go voicemail
The "error" I was talking about was in your log:
"...== Spawn extension (extensions, 4, 3) exited non-zero on
'IAX2/home_server-6364'..."
The call terminated here in a error which prevented the dialplan from
continuing. Something there is broken, my recommendation is to check you
registrations first inside asterisk:

I'm unable to get past the subject error trying to setup dovecot 2.1.10

I've tried manualy chown()ing auth-master to 666, so permission issues
should be ruled out.
I'm attaching logs, config and excerpt of ktrace -id. I've built a

Sharing to domain users?
Couple questions to those who have the winbindd service up and running...
I *think* winbindd is working now... I can browse the samba server through
windows explorer and open directories. There is a little delay when I first
connect... I assume this is winbind passing the authentication request to my
NT servers and awaiting a response.
The problem now is that I can't seem to write to the

Spurious auth failures with 2.5S3 + wb_ntlm
Greetings:
I am in the process of setting up ntlm-based user authentication with
Squid. Following the various instructions available in the FAQ and on the
mailing list, I have what appears to be a functioning setup: I can use
`wbinfo' to authenticate successfully, and Squid works as configured,
logging my authenticated username into the logs. However, after what
