Hi List - I have a friend that runs a Windows domain with Active Directory and is setting up some new laptops with Redhat. He wants to automate installs, etc. on these laptops as he would on a Windows machine. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this - and also if anyone knows of a good tutorial for joining a Linux machine to a Windows domain. I've heard that it is possible.

Hi, My Samba AD-DC installation is using CPU all time on a process. I'm trying everything to fix it, but without success. It started when using it on Ubuntu 16.04, I upgraded o Ubuntu 18.04, and now Ubuntu 18.10, that is using Samba 4.8.4 and the problem persist. I have created a two way Interdomain Trust between a Samba 3.21 Domain and a Windows 2003 Server Domain. I am able to log into the Active Directory domain with my Samba users and I am able to access shares set up in the AD Domain.
