smbldap-tools and joining workstation to domain
Hi, I've reported this before but I guess I'll have to do it again, since it's not fixed yet or I'm understanding something wrong here. The problem is that smbldap-useradd -w 'machinename' will add only posixAccount entrys into ldap but it should add both posixAccount and sambaSAMAccount entrys. So if one doesn't add correct machine account entrys manually to ldap

Source information not showing for virsh domiflist causing problems with migrating VMs
Hi, Does anyone know of a way to get around this problem. I have several long running VMs running on an Ubuntu 14.10 host and for some reason I am getting errors when trying to migrate them to another host. If I restart the VM then the problem does not exist, however for various reasons that is not an option with the remaining VMs. root@comp001:~# /root/bin/vm_migrate.sh ws001 comp003 virsh

idea for GSoC: an R package for fitting Bayesian Hierarchical Models
Dear R developers, these days I'm working on some R code for fitting completely generic Bayesian Hierarchical Models in R, a la OpenBUGS and JAGS. A key feature of OpenBUGS and JAGS is that they automatically build an appropriate MCMC sampler from a generic model, specified as a directed acyclic graph (DAG). The spirit of my (would-be) implementation is instead more focused on experimentation

Next3 (eg ext3 snapshots support) on OpenNode / CentOS 5 / RHEL 5 howto and rpms
We have created an next3 and patched e2fsprogs OpenNode / CentOS 5 / RHEL 5 rpms - installable from opennode-test yum repo. Provided next3 kernel module is currently built against RHEL5 OpenVZ kernel used in OpenNode - so installing this next3 rpm package on your CentOS 5 or RHEL 5 host will install also OpenVZ patched RHEL5 kernel and newer e2fsprogs package. Installation and usage

patch to enable ssh use sock fd 3,4
Hi all I was thinking maybe other ppl need this small hack :) So ssh supports ProxyCommand which use a separate proccess for in/out chans to remote sshd. But sometimes this extra proc is not desired but ssh should use a specific socket (in below patch is fd 3 and 4) for same thing.. For example a reverse ssh connection where sshd connects back to ssh(which is executed by a a script that binds to

[LLVMdev] Quad-Core ARMv7 Build Slave Seeks Noble Purpose
I finally got it to work - and my ODROID-XU is now a passive member of the LLVM builder society for the next week or so, until it has proven itself (it monitors changes to the SVN repository and builds in my end without bothering anyone at LLVM.org about its findings). I did write up a "short" treatise on how to do it, in case anybody needs to do this sometime in the future. I expect

bug & patch in ServerAliveInterval (openssh 4.3-p2)
Hi openssh-unix-dev subscribers :) I have found that ServerAliveInterval & ServerAliveCountMax have some bug. Basically the ssh-alive check function (that verify the peer is alive) is called only if no data at all gets into ssh (when it should work only for server channel).I am pretty sure developers know about this ..anyway I have tried to fix this issue. Here is the patch: diff -rNu
