smbd error: Matchname failed on (machine name)
Listmates, Samba has been trouble free for some time, but I have a very strange error related to one machine on my network that is filling my logs with smb errors. The box in question "ripper" is a normal WinXP box that is dual-boot with SuSE 10.3. The errors are received every 30 minutes or so: Aug 21 17:04:03 archangel smbd[3116]: [2009/08/21 17:04:03, 0]

Hi Aki, debian jessie backports has been moved to archive.debian.org and initially I was unable to install dovecot-dbg because of that. But I've managed to resolve that issue now. This was the command I ran: doveadm -D -f flow fetch imap.envelope mailbox crm-spam.2008.g Backtrace follows. Thanks Timo. Given the age of these dovecot packages, and this being on debian oldstable, what should we do next? I'm inclined to just delete the email in question and move on. Does anyone have a working Xen to try an SCO OpenServer5.0.6 installation on?
I''ve been dealing with SCO OpenServer 5.0.6 lately, and was forced to use VMware Workstation when I couldn''t get it working on Xen. That let me use it with IDE emulated drives, that avoided the whole intricate fun and games of installing compatible SCSI drivers. But VMWare ESX, which was not what I''d wanted to deal with, got selected for use, and since it

gluster and system options for logging
Hi all, I'm currently in the process of testing a Gluster 3.0.0 setup (4 nodes, 2 servers, 2 clients, client-side replication), and have run into the occasional hiccup (and at least one big crash). Unfortunately, the logged remnants of these incidents leave something to be desired, and as anyone who's tried to track down a crash knows, the more log data you have, the better. Thus,

Monitoring slaves via dummy-ups
Hello, I wondered how folks monitored slaves. In my case, I am using Nagios and the check_ups plugin. It seems to work fine but being new to nut, I'm seeking confirmation that this is a sane approach. The goal: confirm the slaves have contact with the master. The environment: * FreeBSD 12.1 * nut-2.7.4 installed from package Background: I am replacing an APC 2200 UPS (still in use) with
