samba 2.2.7a and multiple logins...
Hello I use a new samba server with LDAP support as PDC for some Windows2000 and WindowsXP machines. All is working nice. The useer can login with a user/password in the domain, we have remote profiles, the user can access the samba shares and print etc. But after some time (< 1 day) we get a smbstatus output like the attached file. Users are connected multiple times with the same share

Missing Driver Options
Hi all, I work with a CUPS/Samba Printserver and I allocate the drivers via the point n print methode. Yesterday I get a new HP Laserjet 2420. I installed the HP-driver with the APW of Windows XP. Everything seams to be ok. I printed a testpage without any problems. In the next step I tested the new options of this printer (duplex,...). But I saw, that the driver did not offer this options. I

Old problem with get_file_version , Windows 2003 x64 (Jerry, you know this one!)
Jerry, All, I am trying to get x64 drivers installed onto a Samba 3.0.24 server, however I am getting an error that looks like it was last seen in 2005, ie when Windows checks the driver is uploaded OK, it thinks it's not for the correct architecture: [2007/04/30 17:18:04, 3] smbd/dosmode.c:unix_mode(147) unix_mode(x64/3/UNIDRV.DLL) returning 0744 [2007/04/30 17:18:04, 2]

Disperse volume recovery and healing
No. After bringing up one brick and before stopping the next one, you need to be sure that there are no damaged files. You shouldn't reboot a node if "gluster volume heal <volname> info" shows damaged files. What happens in this case then? I'm thinking about a situation where the servers are kept in an environment that we don't control - i.e. the cloud. If the VMs are

[Gluster-devel] Error in gluster v11
Ok. No problem. I can test it in a virtual environment. Send me the path. Oh but the way, I don't compile gluster from scratch. I was used the deb file from https://download.gluster.org/pub/gluster/glusterfs/LATEST/Debian/ --- Gilberto Nunes Ferreira (47) 99676-7530 - Whatsapp / Telegram Em ter., 16 de mai. de 2023 ?s 09:21, Xavi Hernandez <jahernan at redhat.com> escreveu: >

Xavi, does that mean that even if every node was rebooted one at a time even without issuing a heal that the volume would have no issues after running gluster volume heal [volname] when all bricks are back online? ________________________________ From: Xavi Hernandez <jahernan at redhat.com> Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2018 12:09:05 AM To: Victor T Cc: gluster-users at gluster.org Subject:

Serial port not working anymore on Garmin Mapsource
I have Garmin Mapsource v8 working 100% with Wine and Linux kernel 2.6.16. Transfer from/to the GPS connected to a USB Serial converter on /dev/ttyUSB0 works 100% also. But then, I try with kernel 2.6.18 and 2.6.19 and Mapsource doesn't find the GPS. It's not a Linux issue as I can access the GPS with minicom. Device file permisions are OK. Anyone has and idea of what can be happening

Problem with Samba 4.6
Did the first test on two different servers both are running debian wheezy and packported samba packages. On the server still running 4.6.2 it worked without problems to add the first available printer driver (Brother-DCP116C). On the other server already running 4.6.3 it faile with the error you and marc described. So I downgraded this server to 4.6.2 but i still get the error. Am

Gluster 11.0 upgrade
Hi Xavi, Copy the same info file worked well and the gluster 11 arbiter is now up and running and all the nodes are communication the way they should. Just another note on something I discovered on my virt machines. All the three nodes has been upgarded to 11.0 and are working. If I run: gluster volume get all cluster.op-version I get: Option Value ------

Gluster 11.0 upgrade
Hi again Xavi, I did some more testing on my virt machines with same setup: Number of Bricks: 1 x (2 + 1) = 3 If I do it the same way, I upgrade the arbiter first, I get the same behavior that the bricks do not start and the other nodes does not "see" the upgraded node. If I upgrade one of the other nodes (non arbiter) and restart glusterd on both the arbiter and the other the arbiter

sparse files on EC volume
Hi Xavi At this time I'm using 'plain' bricks with XFS. I'll be moving to LVM cached bricks. There is no RAID for data bricks, but I'll be using hardware RAID10 for SSD cache disks (I can use 'writeback' cache in this case). 'small file performance' is the main reason I'm looking at different options, i.e. using formated sparse files. I spent considerable

Have you done any testing with replica 2/3? IIRC my replica 2/3 tests out performed EC on smallfile workloads, it may be worth looking into if you can't get EC up to where you need it to be. -b ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dmitri Chebotarov" <4dimach at gmail.com> > Cc: "gluster-users" <Gluster-users at gluster.org> > Sent: Tuesday,

Dovecot dies, maybe ntpdate related. I'm new to dovecot
Hi all, my first post. After years with an old server, a couple of months ago I've installed a new one. We use IMAP. After research, I chosed dovecot. It has been running for several weeks but from one week ago or so, it suddently dies about once per day. The only change done in the server one week ago has been to install ntpdate, running once per day in cron-daily. In the cron
