I just installed Samba 3.0.4 on Freebsd 4.10-rel.
I can connect to it from a linux box using smbclient.
However, when attempting to connect from a windows 2000 box I get an

Status on fixes for MS04-11/MS04-12/KB828741 issues
I realise that a large number of sites have been bitten by the bad
interaction between this hotfix, and Samba.
I have finally managed to spend some time looking into this, and have
reproduced it in my test environment. There appears to be an issue with
the NTLMSSP layer used by windows clients to wrap password change
requests.
Fortunately, I have also shown that it is possible to construct a

MS Patch MS04-011 & Samba upgrade
If I have a Samba server that is part of a Windows 2000 domain and is not a domain controller (all of our
authentication goes against a Windows 2000 box), do I need to upgrade to 3.0.4/2.2.9? What is the interaction
between a Samba server that is part of a domain and the Windows client if all of the authentication is being
done against a Windows 2000 PDC?

cannot change user password with CTRL-ALT-DEL
I've been running samba (currently 2.2.3a-13 for Debian) as a PDC with W2k
clients for over two years. The system was up and running quite well for a
long time. A couple of days ago, I installed the following MS-patches:
MS04-011
MS04-012
MS04-013
MS04-014
MS02-011
Now when users try to change their password from the w2k clients using
CTRL-ALT-DEL, a popup window appears saying:

Microsoft hotfix MS04-011, breaks Samba password change.
Hi all,
I wanted to give an update on this as I know this MS Hotfix
is critical and must be applied to protect against the (latest) Microsoft
worm.
I think I've found the problem in the code, and am currently testing
a fix for this (not in the release to others to test stage yet). As
soon as I'm reasonably confident I'll put a patch out there for others
to test, and we'll

Big problem with the latest hotfix for win2k in comb. with a samba 3.0.2a PDC
Hi there,
i've got many trouble using Win2k/SP4 (German) clients on a samba 3.0.2a PDC
after applying
a new hotfix by Microsoft

with the number KB835732.
Signing on with a local user works fine, but if any user is signing on with
a domain-account, some strange things happend.
The profile could'nt be loaded or some

Samba / Networking trouble since latest windows update
This is not really a Samba problem, but it does relate to Samba, in a
fashion...

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
Right, I understand that. I was hoping there was such an
implementation using ANTLR since it looks like a fairly mature project.
I'm not sure how stable or mature Elsa is (but comments to clarify
that would be appreciated.). E.g., a quick scan of their Web page
shows the comment that they only have a partial type checker. It also
says their template instantiation is incomplete.

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
When you create a parser via ANTLR you specify the output language of the
resulting recursive descent parser, at the moment there exists no C++ output
template to my knowledge, thus you would have to generate the parser as C
code for which a template exists.
The runtime support should be there, at least partially but it won't use
things like exceptions, nor will it have a very modular design

[LLVMdev] ANTLR?
That sounds like a problem. Just so I understand, do you mean there
isn't the run-time support etc. to write back ends for the C++
language, or that the compiler IR is also somehow insufficient to
write a code generator?

My PDC Conversion Project
I have 3.0.2a (with about 75 machines/users) installed as a PDC for my Win2k users and found an oddity. (waiting for a bin version of 3.0.3 for RH8.0)
All was fine before I left 2.2.8.... But now when users hit <CTL>-<ALT>-<DEL> and change the password, they get "domain not available". When they log in, they get the logon scripts to execute, and anything else I do to
