ACLs and DACLs not propagated to owner of file/directory
Hello,
I've submitted the following to the bug tracking system, but thought
I might find some other answers here.
It appears that there is a bug in the ACL code that prevents a ACL
or DACL from being applied to directory if the user associated with that ACL
is the owner of the file.
Consider the following directory structure

No subject
actually touches the ACLs for newly created files and directories. smbd
only seems to manipulate ACLs when they're changed from a windows client.
3. The "inherit acls" config option does not fix this problem,
which is not surprising since that's not what the option is intended to do.

LDAP_MATCHING_RULE_IN_CHAIN no longer working after upgrade?
Thank you Andrew and Rowland.
(Rowland - I tried 'samba-tool dsacl get', thank you! but found the
output hard to decipher so I used ldp.exe on Windows instead in the
end)

tincd with -d 5 or tincd -n "yournetname" -k INT , check the log file

Fully agreed.

clang-format sets executable permission on windows (openNativeFile ignores mode on Windows)
Mapping between Windows DACLs and Posix user-group-other file permissions
is complex, depends on externalities, and is necessarily lossy:

While there's a lot of information at those links, they don't completely
explain how the mapping works. (And who knows if GnuWin32 does the mapping

valid BasicAA behavior?
AliasAnalysis and dependence analysis answer different problems. AA check whether two memory ranges accessed at the same time (i.e. in the same iteration) do not overlap. DI checks when two accesses, not necessarily executed in the same iteration, do overlap.
DI makes use of AA in verifying that the base pointer (with unknown size), at the beginning of the loop, themselves do not overlap. If they
