Path for fixing sequence lookup of newly created mails in transaction view
Hi! It seem that tview_lookup_seq_range works incorret, if I request uids from 3 to 3, and I have new uids 1,2,4,5 it will return seq for uid=4. Fixing patch is included as attach. ------ Sergey Potapov -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Change one file, and they all get sent!
Hi, Just starting out with rsync, and I think I might be missing a fundamental point of how it works. Scenario: I start an rsync daemon on host A, and define a module 'test' on the rsyncd.conf file. 'test' is essentially my home directory on host A I then sign on to host B and issue rsync --progress --recursive --links --stats arthur::test/ /var/tmp/haggis This copies

IP Address permissions per share
I've googled and googled for an answer to this but all I can find is ip specific global permissions for samba. What I want to do is only allow specific ip addresses access to certain shares in my config. Is this possible? I know I could do user permissions to shares but I want to lock it down per ip address. Thanks, Ed

rpm -q versus what's installed
I am trying to install Oracle client 10g (10.2.0) on a 64-bit CentOS 5.0 system. 'rpm -q make gcc glibc etc' reveals some packages as "not installed", yet a yum install <package name> consistently returns Nothing to do. Yum list available <package name> yields nothing needed. If rpm -q <list of packages> lists some that are "not installed" but

Move 3.0.10 PDC to server with diifferent hostname an IP address
I want to move my Samba 3.0.10 server which is acting as PDC and WINS server to a new server with a differenent hostname and IP address. The old server is being used as a NIS+ server which means it would be very difficult for me to move the old hostname and IP to the new server. I have used the IP of the old server in the WINS server settings in DHCP and have set it by hand on a handful of PCs

Libvirt to return the ip address instead of the hostname during migration
Hi all, We are working on nova live-migration using Ceph and trying to work around the problem where vm migration fails if name resolution is not enabled in a cluster. See the link, https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/Virtualization_Host_Configuration_and_Guest_Installation_Guide/App_Migration_Address.html We have managed to work around this by setting

NFS: hostname vs IP address
CentOS 5.7 x86_64. Lots of hosts NFS mounting a file system. All are configured identically (same LDAP servers, same DNS, same autofs config, same patches, etc). On some of them I see an NFS mount displaying a host name: % df -P | grep smt <hostname>:/mnt/foo 1651345888 264620688 1386725200 17% /fs/home/smt and on some just the IP address: % df -P | grep smt aa.bb.cc.dd:/mnt/foo

samba as AD member server - IP address / hostname change
hello, first, let me sketch the situation. i have some samba (both version 2.2 and 3) servers. one of them - say server1 (samba version 2) is currently being upgraded (to samba version 3, in order to join active directory as domain member server), so all shares from this server were moved to other one, say server 2. on the server2 i created aliased network interface with ip address of server1.

NetBIOS over TCP/IP versus direct hosting over TCP/IP
>From Microsoft web site (Windows 2000 Resource Kit): "Windows 2000 uses NetBIOS over TCP/IP to communicate with prior versions of Windows NT and other clients, such as Windows 95. However, the Windows 2000 redirector and server components now support direct hosting for communicating with other computers running Windows 2000. With direct hosting, NetBIOS is not used for name resolution.

log files created for both the hostname and the IP address?
At a new account where they run Samba 3.0.14a on a Debian server I'm seeing log files being created for both the hostname and the IP address. The log files, however, are not identical. But the timestamps are close. None of my installations have this quirk. If the hostname is resolvable the log is made using it, if not resolvable then the log is made with the IP address but not both. Any

polr probit versus stata oprobit
Dear All, I have been struggling to understand why for the housing data in MASS library R and stata give coef. estimates that are really different. I also tried to come up with many many examples myself (see below, of course I did not have the set.seed command included) and all of my `random' examples seem to give verry similar output. For the housing data, I have changed the data into numeric

Do you receive RDS objects from unknown (untrusted) sources? ?? If not - the security issue is a non-issue as I understand it. pxelinux server's IP address
Hello, I am experimenting with pxelinux. My setup is currently working. My network card receives IP address from DHCP server, and then it downloads pxelinux.0 and executes it. PXElinux loads its config file ('pxelinux.cfg/default') and is able to download vmlinuz and initrd.gz from TFTP server, and execute vmlinuz. Now the question: is there any way to pass server's IP address as a

URGENT HELP NEEDED!!! PLEASE!!
Hi, I have a big big problem. I compiled Samba 3.2.6 for Solaris 8 and 10. Environment is Windows 2003 SFU. So far it looked like everything works as expected. Under Solaris 8 i get all groups of a user. Under Solaris 10 I can only see the primary group set under the Unix Attributes Tab in W2k3. I have compiled with the following settings: ./configure --with-ads --with-krb5=/opt/VEGA
