I've googled and googled for an answer to this but all I can find is ip specific global permissions for samba. What I want to do is only allow specific ip addresses access to certain shares in my config. Is this possible? I know I could do user permissions to shares but I want to lock it down per ip address. At a new account where they run Samba 3.0.14a on a Debian server I'm seeing log files being created for both the hostname and the IP address. The log files, however, are not identical. But the timestamps are close. None of my installations have this quirk.
