3.0.11pre2 and wbinfo --users-sids
Hello good people of Samba, I've been working with the latest Samba (3.0.11pre2) and have noticed that between 3.0.11pre1 and 3.0.11pre2, wbinfo --user-sids <SID> has stopped working. I have confirmed that going back to version 3.0.11pre1 (everything else being held steady) corrects the error I'm seeing. #wbinfo -n <username> <big long SID> #wbinfo --user-sids=<big

Phantom CallerID on transfers
Hi Gang, Running Asterisk 1.4SVN using Polycom 501 phones. Just enabled CallerID and for the most part it works as good as you'd expect anything to from the phone company to. Except: on about 1 out of 10 transfers, instead of getting a callerid of "joe cool <100>" or "abc company <205-555-1212>" I just get "asterisk". Here is what

Phantom (ghost) Calls with Wildcard TDM400P
We have a client that has a single Wildcard TDM400P with 3 FXO ports on Asterisk 1.0.7. Occasionally the system seems to loose its mind and starts originating calls from that Zap channels that don't exist. The receptionist picks up the phone and nobody is there. This can happen repeatedly over and over again within a few minutes. As far as we can tell these are definitely not real calls as

Phantom incoming calls on x100p
Hi! I have a problem with one box running asterisk, one pots line and an X100P. Almost every night the phones give 2-3 rings and then stop. There are no actual incoming calls, I verified by putting a device that lists the incoming telephone numbers parallell to the X100p and it doesn't list any calls. This is the output on the console for a real incoming call: ? == Spawn extension

Asterisk & BRI in the USA - Episode 2 "The Phantom Sales Rep"
Hey all here's an update. I do care to thank everyone for your information on BRI interfaces that operate in USA/NA. I know the responses are were limited, but the selection of hardware is also limited. (Shame because BRI would fit my needs perfectly). To continue, it's now been over 4 weeks since I last talked to the ILEC sales rep about pricing and plans. Unfortunately there

Phantom Calls
Hi all, I have a client that is having problems with phantom calls. I have not been able to see it happen myself, but they say when it happens, the display on the phone (polycom 301's) says "Device" is calling, but when they answer the phone, there is only silence and then they hang back up and it sometimes rings again. I've been trying to track this down for a couple of
