You are using Samba 3, I'm using Samba 4. Anyway: In my experiments I also had to set an additional regpatch for Win10 and a Samba 4.3.x NT4-style domain for logon scripts - otherwise the logon scripts are not

How to copy roaming profiles to new server ? ("Group policy client service failed. The logon access is denied")
Dear all, We have perfectly working roaming profiles on Samba 3.3.10 (SuSE) with Windows 7 clients. We configured our new server with same domain name, Samba 4.1.11 (Debian). On the new server, for newly created profiles, it works perfectly, we can login, logout, profiles are created and saved. But if we want to copy an existing profile from current server to the new one, it's

SOLVED The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access is denied.
I am not sure how it got fixed but now it works. I deleted the registry key, deleted, and deleted their roaming profile from their home directory. And all works now. ------Original Message------ From: Menders To: samba at lists.samba.org Subject: The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access is denied. Samba as PDC with XP Client - Logon requires reboot - Help Please
Hi, I'm running the latest version of Samba with a tdbsam backend, configured not to use roaming profiles. Two different XP clients (SP2) are joined to the domain ok but users can only logon by rebooting before entering their logon details. When users logoff and try to logon again (or logon as a different user on the same machine) they get the standard message 'windows cannot connect to

Administrator-privileged logon scripts under limited mode on XP?
At our organization, we're currently gradually migrating the workstations from Windows 98 to Windows XP, while retaining the use of our samba server as a PDC. For those who may remember my previous post, our upgrade to Samba 3.0.11 from an ancient version (2.2.3) I inherited went extremely well, and I was thoroughly impressed how little I had to change to get everything running. Anyways,

win 10 client on linux pdc, join domain ok, logon script fails to run
hi, I have samba 4.3.9-Ubuntu setup. followed a guide to get a windows 10 client to join my pdc OK but cannot get netlogon scripts to run. I can see them in the share \\<server>\netlogon and I can manually run them from windows shell or by double clicking them. They just won't run by themselves. I have done the registry pokes + policy changes as:

the legs separately as if they were not related to the same call. So the ingress leg negotiates ulaw, and despite it knowing that the peer also supports g729 fails the call since it's already decided on ulaw and the egress leg only accepts g729. If this is design intent I'm wondering if there is demand enough to justify a feature request? Any advice on how I can work around this issue?

Lotus Notes 5.09 which wine? Resolved
Noted, Darren. Thanks for that. The compile option is interesting, I'll file that for next time. Resolution: Do the install under wine until it stops, kill it. Mounted a Windows hdd, copied the Lotus dir, not overwriting that which got left behind by the killed installation, chown and chmod the new files to similar to those installed by wine, works fine. Very simple, but means

Still no Broadvoice Outbound. (Bump)
I'm still not getting my outbound to work. I've seen two patches relevant to broadvoice for chan_sip.c which apparently have already been added to CVS. I'm dropping all outgoing calls after ~30 secs. Asterisk doesn't seem to know they're gone though. I called my cell w/ broadvoice and turned on sip debug AFTer the call had physically dropped: *CLI> sip show registry

Asterisk - SPA-3000, 407 error
I recently lost my setup (bad drive) and I'm now trying to get my setup back. I have Asterisk setup to a BT100, a Cisco 7960 (7.2 SIP) and an SPA-3000. I can call the phone extension, I can call from the phone on the SPA to other extensions and I can call out to the PSTN. What I can't do is to call from the PSTN to through the SPA to Asterisk. It rings twice then I get fast busy. I
