Support for ECDSA and SHA-2 (SHA-256) in the SSHFP record
Hi, I was sure I sent this to openssh at openssh.com, but cannot find that email now in my Sent mailbox, so I am sending it to the developers list. I took a liberty and wrote an I-D with accompanying patch (with contributions from Ondrej Caletka) to support ECDSA in the SSHFP DNS resource record. The I-D is here: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-os-ietf-sshfp-ecdsa-sha2 (and the source XML

characterizing I/O on a per zvol basis.
Hey all - Time for my silly question of the day, and before I bust out vi and dtrace... If there a simple, existing way I can observe the read / write / IOPS on a per-zvol basis? If not, is there interest in having one? Cheers! Nathan.

aastra 480i configuration help
I'm having problems getting my aastra 480i to register with the asterisk server. I can inititate calls from the phone, but >sip show peers does not show any IP address registered for this phone. I am probably missing something stupidly simple. Anyone have an example config to share or corrections for my configuration? Asterisk 1.2 aastra 480i CT has the 1.4 firmware <sip.conf>

Initial connection after reboot is sluggish
We have an SCO server running samba with the config file below. It is in the domain and users connect to shares on it without any issues. The SCO server is rebooted nightly. The problem is that we have a box that has a mapped drive connection which automatically deposits attachment files to the rmomin share from Outlook (using CaSaveAtt) and it fails on placing its first attachment to the

B-spline/smooth.basis derivative matrices
Hello, I've noticed that SPLUS seems to have a function for evaluating derivative matrices of splines. I've found the R function that evaluates matrices from 'smooth.spline'; maybe someone has written something to do the same with smooth.basis? regards, s

refresh problem on windows
Hello, We have serious problem with (maybe) samba, but first of all here is used configuration: SCO open server 5.0.6 Samba version 2.0 clients - windows 95/98 situation: on SCO we are creating files. and application on windows is checking existence of file on mapped network disk. however problem is, when I change that file on SCO (by vi for example). After that on SCO I see timestamp change, so

Locking issue
I know this has come up before....but.. I've got a locking issue I can't get over. Situation: --------- Unix writes a file to the /tmp directory MS-DOS (WFW 3.11) copys over the file (copy d:\file.txt ), locking it, and not releasing the lock. If Unix subsequently changes the file a re-issuing of the MS-DOS 'copy' command will appear to work ... but the MS-DOS file is

openssh-2.1.1p4 and sco 5.0.5
Hi folks, just I installed openssh 2.1.1p4 on a sco OpenServer 5.0.5 machine and it works fine. The only problem I have is the X11 forwarding. I have allowed this feature in the /etc/sshd_config and the /etc/ssh_config, respectively and the /usr/bin/X11/xauth program was in the PATH during compilation. As you can see in the logfile the sco system enables the X11 forwarding and sets the DISPLAY

SAMBA digest 1371
I've installed Samba ("latest") on SCO's openserver 5 with a WIN'95 hanging off of it as a client. I can run every test in DIAGNOSI.txt except for number 2. That is, the WIN'95 box can not ping the SCO box within a reasonable amount of time. (SCO can ping the WIN'95 box fine). For the longest time I thought the WIN'95 box couldn't ping the SCO box but I

Installing Sanba in SCO
I have several SCO UNIX system were I would like to install Samba. Some of these machines are running SCO 5.0.7 which comes with a Samba version 2.2, the other machines running SCO 5.0.6 do not have Samba. I would like to upgrade the Samba to V.3 on the newer machines and to be able to install it on the older systems, but I am unable to find out a download from Samba.org for SCO. Could some one

Samba, the GPL and SCO
For those of you following the IBM vs SCO legal case, you have probably noticed that SCO has said that the GPL is invalid. IBM appears to make the reasonable case that you can't say something is void, and then rely on it. INAL, but why is SCO allowed to distribute Samba without agreeing to the GPL? That's like buying a car, then claiming the sale agreement is bogus but you still want

Extremum index from a sampling time series data
Dear All,   I am working on a time series of hourly river flow measurements from 2000 - 2003  and have been trying to compute the extremum index from the original series as well as a new series from  sampling with replacement . The extremum Index produced from the original data series looks  fine but sadly, a strange value of index is given from the sampling. The flow measurements are in range of
