Hello, When I configuring samba 3.0.8 as a PDC. When I run the testparm command, I get the error: Error: the 'passwd program' (/usr/bin/passwd %u) requires a '%u' parameter. I have tried to find a solution for this problem and knew, it is a bug. If it is a bug, how can I solve this problem? Cheers #/etc/samba/smb.conf #Samba configurstion file als PDC [global] workgroup =

protocol negotiation failed
Hello guys, I have got my samba server as PDC run and it worked well. I could see the machine in a windows explorer and the linux/samba users could login into the windows. Now, suddenly, I can't see samba server in windows explorer any more, but linux users can still log into the windows machines. I can ping from the samba server and it works. When I run #smbclient -L localhost I get the

OCFSv1 for kernel 2.6
Hi, are there plans to make OCSFv1 available for linux kernel 2.6.x ? We would like to upgrade a RAC on SUSE SLES8 to SUSE SLES9. SLES9SP2 will support OCFSv2, but if I understand correctly OCFSv1 and OCFSv2 are not compatible and we have to copy all the DB files from one filesystem to the other. Thanks for your help. bye, Sumit __________________________________________________________ Mit

General feature questions
Hi! For a project I've got to work at, were deciding whether we use Asterisk or not. It depends on if the following needed Features are realizable: (If someone already knows how to configure it, any suggestions would be great) - Caller checking: If someone calls the number of the Asterisk server it should be able to check if the guy is allowed to call this number. That means, that asterisk

E1s ISDN PRI & CPC
Hi everyone, I'd like to try to use * & ASTCC to create a pre-paid public call card solution. In testing is looks good. I've been talking with Telecom suppliers about supplying me with E1 Primary ISDN lines (probably 4 to start with) and I'd purchase digium TE405Ps to connect everything up. What I'm uncertain about is how to handle CPC with asterisk. I know that 2mbit E1

two SAMBA Server with common password base
Hi, I'm trying to get a simple configuration with 2 SAMBA servers, one with the main smbpasswd [->/etc/passwd], the second connecting to the first. Both servers are more ore less equivalent from the type of shares they are offering. I tried having to configure the first as a PDC, the second as a member of the PDC. However I got confused in configuring both servers. I tried having winbind,

[Fwd: TDM40B - "Unable to play dialtone on channel X" ?]
Hi everyone, Sorry for forwarding and top-posting this email again but its as if my TDM40b has keeled over yesterday. After a few hours last night and swapping the card to another asterisk server (with exactly the same result) I needed to have the FXS ports working ASAP this morning so I have repaced the functionality of the TDM40b with some Grandstream handytones which I already had in

Samba and Ldap
Hi, all the users here are stored in a LDAP-Server, means authentication on a workstation (linux) is over LDAP. Yesterday I configured a Samba-Server, it also uses the LDAP-Server as its backend. I found out, that with a call "smbpasswd -a user" an existing user gets all the attributes from the sambaSamAccount automaticly. But here is my first question - for this call I need to know the

3.0.10 with printing patch, NULL devmode, failing to fetch tdb and buffer overflow
Hi Jerry, hi @all, some users with 3.0.10 with printing patch have problems with old printjobs in her status monitor in windows. Loglevel 10 shows two problems: 1. The devmode for this printer was not set properly (I know, thiswill cause problems). log.smbd: [2005/01/05 14:02:09, 8] rpc_parse/parse_spoolss.c:smb_io_reldevmode(2407) boing, the devmode was NULL 2. A buffer overflow is logged.

Error in colMeans ... what's wrong with my data?
Having searched and searched I still haven't found what's the problem with my data (I've attached the relevant file). Every time I tried to use the CANCOR-Function I got error messages. So I turned to check my two sets of variables separately by using the "colMeans"-Function. With one set no problem .. but with the other. My input : > struktur <-

buffer_get_bignum2: negative numbers not supported
Hi I have added smartcard support to PuTTY and this worked fine until yesterday when we replaced one of our Slackware-9 machines by a Slackware-10 one. Slackware-9 contained OpenSSH 3.5p1 while Slackware-10 has OpenSSH 3.8.1p1. Now the same keys that worked before do not work anymore and OpenSSH fails with buffer_get_bignum2: negative numbers not supported I first supected that my

More frames in one packet
After searching the mailing list archive (I forgot to do that before posting, sorry!) I found the solutions: 1) The documentation has a mistake: The bit terminator is NOT set automatically! (I'm using the latest speex version!) It has to be set manually using speex_bits_insert_terminator(&bits); 2) speex_decoder_int() has to be called as long, as it returns -1. After that, all frames
