How to disable password caching in windows client
Hi,
I want to input user name and password every time I access the share, so I
want to disable password caching in windows client. I google to find there
is a way to modify the windows registry. But it does not work on windows
2003. Is there another way to disable password caching in winXP, win7, 2003
and 2008?

Samba from win2k client - "incorrect password or unknown username" error
Hi,
I've got an annoying little problem with Samba and Win2k. I installed a Win2k
Pro client on the network and set it to use plain text passwords and join the
workgroup.
The username and password of the user on the win2k box are the same as the
account in /etc/passwd on the linux box. But after logging in, when trying to
reconnect the mapped drives the windows box says:

OpenSSL 1.1.0 support and RSA_set0_key() double frees?
Hi Jakub,
The patch for this introduces an unconditional goto at line 3344:
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/openssh.git/tree/openssh-7.3p1-openssl-1.1.0.patch#n3344
as shown in the below snippet:
/* calculate p-1 and q-1 */
- if ((r = rsa_generate_additional_parameters(prv->rsa)) != 0)
+ if ((r = rsa_generate_additional_parameters(prv->rsa, iqmp)) != 0)
+ BN_free(iqmp);

Network connections/username/password/gid
I'm running Samba 2.0.2 on HP-UX 10.20. Everything seems to work fine, except
that sometimes, after an MS Word 97 document has been left open for a while
(several hours), trying to save or save as causes Windows (NT 4.0) to pop up a
message saying that the network connection has been disconnected, and to
reconnect or reinsert the floppy. Generally, clicking "retry" has no

It's failing tests on CentOS 6, it looks like it's expecting the IMAP

Opus supported source client without transcoding?
have you tried "cat $1.opus $2.opus $3.opus | oggfwd"
could be a band-aid until ices2 can work with opus files - if it works...

possible bug with mail->get_header and caching?
I don't know if this is intended or not, but here it comes.
I have
* that copy plugin I was working on
* dovecot 1.0-test59
* thunderbird test client
My copy plugin looks for the X-DSPAM-Signature header line, and reports
it to syslog as such:
imap: we have a signature: "X-DSPAM-Signature: <sig>"
where <sig> is replaced by what is found in the header line. This only

Opus supported source client without transcoding?
Figured I'd join the list since I saw someone else had just popped in looking for exactly the same thing I am (non-transcoding opus streamer for sending multiple .opus files to icecast2).
It looks like ices2 would do exactly what I personally need, except for not having been updated to support opus yet. (I chatted on IRC once or twice with someone who it sounds like is interested in adding

[OT?] Group Policy, drive maps and Cliend Site Caching...
Hai marco,
I've looked for a good example.
http://www.mustbegeek.com/how-to-map-network-drive-using-group-policy/
Only, i say use \\FQDN\share not \\HOSTNAME\share
Basicly, the above site says, ( the importent part )
Note that drive maps actions are all based on the drive letter.
Action ?Create? and ?Update? will not work if the drive letter already in use.
In this case, the action

Asterisk not working with session border controller
Hi All
My company has bought a license for a session border controller called
"Middle". It look like this software acts like a proxy and registers
devices to the asterisk.
the problem (As per Middle guys) is that "Middle" sends a registration
request to the Asterisk asking it to reply to the port 7062, but the
Asterisk sends back the packet to the originating port 7060.

[EXTERNAL] Re: Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting
Charles, thank you for that link to David's earlier message. I tried adding
those udev rules and changing the pollinterval. I need to do some tinkering
but I don't think the part RUN+="/sbin/upsdrvctl stop; /sbin/upsdrvctl
start" is working right. If I manually run the commands then the USB
disconnects stop and there are no kernel messages. Running "sudo

JS / CSS ressource files and query strings for caching
Rails appends query strings to ressource files for intelligent browser
caching (only updating browser cache when files get channged)
But this article (
http://www.thinkvitamin.com/features/webapps/serving-javascript-fast ) says
the following:
At this point, you might ask why we don''t just add a query string to the end
of the resource - /css/main.css?v=4. According the letter of the

rails_asset_id, query strings, and browser caching
Hi all.
Now that compute_public_path calls _rails_asset_id to append a query
string containing the asset file''s modification date, all asset URLs
contain query strings. [1] Which, in theory, is a fantastic thing for
caching, since it forces browsers to download and not cache changed
assets, allows them to cache unchanged assets forever, and has no
effect on the actual file or what is

batteries) and in August 2016 we had some discussions about the USB
