Don't get access from Windows Mobile 2003 to Samba 3.0.2a
Hi!
I tried accessing a Samba server 3.0.2a from a PDA (Dell Axim X5) with

this error message:

hme0 interface going up/down (dhclient ?)
Hi all,
I am having an issue where my hme0 interface is always turning up and down with dhclient requesting a lease.
I am thinking this could be the same issue described by Jeremy Chadwick on June 9th:
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2013-June/073711.html
Everything was fine on 8.2-STABLE and older versions.
It was then upgraded directly to 9.0-STABLE

Samba 3 problem with unc name connections
Hello,
I've got the following problem, since using samba version 3:
When I connect to a samba share without mapping to a drive letter, the
connection is very slow. It takes a long time, until directory listings
are updated or file copyings begin.
Everytime I try to copy a file, I get the follwing entry in the logfile:

My production servers are running 3.0.28 and that is working very well.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

No, its not nitpicking, the OP has an AD DC that is working as
recommended, but the OP wants to also use it as a fileserver, so he
needs to configure it a bit more. The only problem he really has is,

Samba-3 / ADS problems with trusted domain
Hello,
I'm running Mandrake 9.2 and Samba-3.0.2a
I'm connecting a Samba Server as a Domain member to an 2003 ADS, called TEST2. I've been able to create the computer account. I've also tested successfully, from Chapter 7 of ' Samba HOWTO Collection' with a W2K client logon/mount a share from the samba server using Kerberos. The testing of the smbclient was also

I have struggled for a week trying to get domain users to map and/or
browse Samba shares without entering a password. If I login to the

prompted for user/pass. If I then login with a local machine account
(same user/pass) it works. This same configuration also works just fine
on W2K clients logged into the domain. I am
